Unilever Catalina Promo?

Does anyone know if this is going to work off of shelf or sale prices? I have a ton of coupons for the items listed and want to start putting together some scenarios. I'm also curious if we can roll the cats????

Most items will work off shelf prices (SP). I have not had the best luck with these promos in the past. and if you go off SP and use Qs and your cat doesn't print, I'm not sure how you go about rectifying the situation?? I went today and did 2 trans, one worked off SP, and the other, well, I bought some of the wrong items, and I can't imagine it'd be easy to return all the stuff, all the Qs and then rebuy everything with the right items. Any advice on that?

I've heard that you can roll the Catalina from one transaction into the next. I haven't tried it personally nor am I likely to. There isn't enough there to make me want to buy in bulk twice. HTH

I would try calling the store and ask them about their return policy. From what I've heard when you use coupons and return an item they are supposed to refund you the full amount for the item ie it rings up at $2.50 and you used a coupon that doubled for $1.50 off they should still refund you the $2.50 amount because there is no way you can get your coupon back and they will be refunded the amount of the coupon (less their doubling) from the manufacturer.

Please let us know what happens.

I'm not gonna try to return it. Once I get my Kellogg's $10 rebate, I'll have paid $10 for about $100 worth of stuff. Granted, if I'd have gotten the cat, it'd be -$5 but I'm ok with my deals. Good advice to know for the future though, thanks! Acme doesn't show what item the Q is for on the receipt, which is why I feel like any return would be severely messy!

I agree. If it's products you're going to use anyway I would just bite the bullet and forget about it. I'm going to pick up some of the peanut butter you mentioned in another post. I hadn't noticed that it was on sale.

Just got back from Mays Landing Acme

I did the deal twice and it worked off of shelf prices, I also rolled the catalina from the first transaction. When I was done with the first two transactions, I used $10 in cats to buy 10 boxes of pop-tarts to do the Kellog rebates. I am attaching a sheet that helps me figure out the deals. I could have purchased one less item on the one deal, but I still have enough q's to do this deal two more times. I think that I am going to try to get some All coupons and load up on free detergent.

All Detergent

The shelf price at my store was 6.49 and and sale price is $3.50 so I am thinking that you can buy 5*6.49 = $32.45. OOP =12.50 (5*3.50=17.5-5($1coupons) so this could be a money maker - you will need a filler item if you want to pay with cats. I just ordered 15 coupons on ebay, pray I get them by Wednesday!!!!

You might want to try something other than prayers because I am not positive God answers first time prayers from heathens. LOL! Love you Chica! I will say a few prayers for you being that I am a bit more seasoned.

Nice job on your savings! Do you mind if I ask, did you self-check out or go through a cashier?

I always use the cashier check out lanes. My self-check out has issues with coupons (they have to approve each and everyone). Going through the cashier is much faster for us.

Also, FWIW, I've FOUND more of these $2 off phone surveys that I've had printed out. Most people don't notice they are there and throw them on the ground. I think we've found 6 of them so far, two of them today.

I did 2 transactions at the self check-out and didn't get the phone surveys. I'm starting to think that Acme doesn't like my card number.

I did 4 transactions between today and yesterday, and no phone survey- but, WOW! What a fantastic promotion. Spent less than $3 today(due to my miscalculation and having to grab something to get to the $15!) and still have my $15 in cats for another go round.

Cats May Be Hesitating

Just a little note based on my experience Saturday. I completed my transaction and my cat didn't print. I was positive I did the scenario correctly and it's been my understanding that the cats are based on shelf price. As I was standing there contemplating whether I should bring it up to the cashier or go directly to the service desk, the cashier started the next's person's transaction. Out popped my cats. So if they don't print out right away you might want to wait a minute.

We think this is a 'feature' to have your bill completely closed out so that you can't try to pay with these cats.

Could be. I've just never had them take so long. Normally I would've been at my car.

Just as an FYI. The Cookie Crisp did not work for me today. They ended up paying me cash out of the register.

I figured it out with shelf price. Our shelf price was $4.29 but it did not pop out the cats after completing two separate orders with cookie crisp in it.

I am just going to save my other two coupons I have left.
