During the week of 7/26 there are several school supply items that will be BOGO free. The most notable are the Caliber scissors, Caliber pencils and CVS glue. These 3 were either free after ECB's last week or this week. If you have a raincheck you'll be able to get 2 items instead of 1!

Caliber pencils .00
Total .99 and receive $1 ECB (because computer rounds up when printed as raincheck)

***Just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to do this today without a problem. I bought 6 pencils for 2.97 (3 @ .99 and BOGOF) used my FAECB raincheck that I had for 3 packs all got all 6 free. (ECB printed for $3)
Did the same scenario with the BOGOF scissors that I had a raincheck for!

I've never done this before, and since the cashier will have to price modify (override the register) if it's a sale price this week, will the register still allow BOGO? I know the scissors are regular price, but I'm not sure about the pens, rulers, glues etc. Thanks.

I thought it was either one or the other when you had rainchecks? I am not sure, but I know I asked that question a few weeks ago and that is the response I got.

That is the case at every CVSstore I have worked. One or the other, not both.

I had a raincheck for some Ponds wipes that I used on a week that they were BOGO. The price modification overrode the BOGO sale. So at least around here, it wouldn't work. :/

But, I could purchase with a raincheck, get the ECB and then go back using those ECB and get three basically free correct?

That is the only scenerio I could figure out that would help me get the 3 by using a raincheck?

Any help greatly appreciated. I could use those school supplies!

The raincheck is printed after the sale is complete. At least it is at my store. The register doesn't know how much you paid for an item.

I think you mean the EB.

The register DOES know that the price has been modified or the item is sale or clearance.

The best thing to do is contact CS if you're not sure if it'll work or not. I know that if you use a raincheck for an ECB item and there are ECB's being issued for the same item current week the register counts it on both deals. This happend for me with the Softsoap bodywash deal a couple of months ago.

So you mean you got both sets of ECB right? Guess will just have to wait til that week to see how this one works out!

I'm not even going to try to do both deals at once. I have rainchecks for all the supplies, but I don't think it is right to use both deals at once. It's either one or the other. If everyone does that, we'll no longer get rainchecks. That would really suck for me, some have muliple cards and clear all the sale items out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that some stores such as MINE will NOT allow rainchecks on school supplies. I called CS and they said that they are not required to give rainchecks for these items as they are only seasonal items. I am very frustrated bc I was in the store at 10am on Sunday and everything was completely GONE!!

I bet my store will not allow this...if I use the rain check, they will apply the limit and the ECBs are forced

they will say rain check deal or current deal...I suspect

btw, ECBs this week did not round up...I have $1.98 and $5.98 for glue and scissors

If I got rainchecks from one store (they were out of everything!) and went to another store and they had some of the supplies and I bought them, can I still use the rainchecks next week to get some more, or will my purchases at store #2 continue to count toward the offer limit reached even after the sale is over?

So far everything that has been in the ad in reg. school stuff not the sesonal stuff. You should be able to get rc on them.

I tried to get a rain check tonight for the scissors, but the cashier said they could not give a rain check on three-day sale items. This sucks because I went in there Sunday morning and they didn't have any then either.

I used my raincheck today for the glue that was out of stock and only received what I had the raincheck for. I am just has happy to receive my 2 free with the limit of 2 so that everyone else has a chance to use their rainchecks.

neither the price for the pencils (.99) or scissors (2.99) had to be modified.
