| I stood up for myself and won the coupon battle! :)
Ok so long story short... I went to check out with my 12 stayfree and one dove deo. I hand my 5/25 first then I give the cashier my $2/1 Dove and 6 BOGO's. She says I can't take this one (the IP). I said "Oh Rite Aid changed their policy regarding these." The she said "I'll scan it. See it won't work!" Then it scanned! ![]() Then she says I can't take these BOGO's then you will be getting all of them for free. I said, "Yep!" She calls the manager. Who says they can't take any of those coupons. I explain to her that I have an e-mail from corporate stating you can use all those q's. I ask her what corporates number is. She gives it to me. I call. They discuss how wrong it is to use those coupons while I waiting for a rep. I get the rep and explain the situation. Her response was, "They just changed our policies this week and now we ARE allowed to take BOGO q's on a BOGO sale AND we are allowed to accept IP's" I said, "Can you tell the manager this?" She says"Yes". Tells the manager and they put through my coupons. All as this nasty old cashier is huffing and puffing. Especially when my total was .41 including tax!! HA HA I WIN!! Stand up to those cashiers and managers that don't know their policies!! Call corporate while your standing there and have them confirm it!!

I had to do the same thing at rite aid when the umbrella sale was going on. I called corporate right then and there. You should have seen how attitudes changed when corporate told them I could use the coupons they said they wouldn't take. Why are they grumpy at rite aid???

I had a similar problem the other night...not with BOGOs but the IP. I contacted corporate, who contacted the SM who called me and apologized. I went in today, did the same txn, no probs. In fact, the cashier congratulated me. After we finished, I thanked her for being great, went to the SM, ID'd myself as the person she spoke to the day before and told her how great this cashier was. It really underscored for me that the problem was the first cashier and him making up his own rules. I wonder how small his life must be for him to exert such "power" over couponers LOLOL. do you have a copy of your email I tried the bogo stayfree and they told me I had to paid 1.99 for 2 of them I could not have them free I also sent an email and they haven't replied yet I tried this on sunday when I got my coupons It seems every one is getting these for free which is the way it should be but my store said no thanks for all of the information

The same thing happened to me. I will be going back tomorrow to try again and tell them what I have just learned. The only problem is I called the Rite Aid number and they are closed for the holiday, and the sale ends tomorrow.

The same thing happen to me and I had to pay the $1.99 and they kept my coupons b/c I was to dumb to say give them back to me (but I live and learned) never,never,never again. Da I didn't even think about the transaction until I got home and started putting them away.

Thankfully my Rite Aid is so friendly. I asked before I even shopped and the girl said no problem at all. She was awesome

Awesome Sleepy! I rarely shop at rite aid but went today and I was so convinced I was going to have a hard time especially when they called the manager over. But what the manager said was scan it... he scans it and it goes through.. he says ok.. do that to all of them.. I'm like, does he now know how to accept I coupon? But I really didn't have any problems and I got a raincheck for the BOGO so I can go back.

I went back today to a different rite aid store and bought 12 packs with my 6coupons. The supervisor who checked me out asked the store manager if I could still use the BOGO coupon with the BOGO sale an he said sure, and I said good, because I have am e-mail from corp, (thanks sleepy832) He then asked me if there had been a problem at that store in the past and I said no, but I had a problem in another rite aid store. The supervisor then said, well that's why you came to our store so we could fix the problem for you!

I had the same situation at Rite Aid with my Mars chocolate q's. I wish I would have read this first because they told me I could only use two of the q's and ended up charging me for two Good for you!

I sent email to Rite Aid so I have something to take to the stores with me when they have a BOGO. They took my coupons but from what I understand, none of the other stores in Pittsburgh did for anyone else.. They kept saying you are getting them both for free and not paying for any and I kept saying so you aren't going to honor a manufacturer q when you have the same item on sale. Hey Pittsburghers, lets stand our ground!

Idont shop RIte Aid too often, but I had to call them out once. It was not pretty for them! LOL I ended up talking to their regional manager who was on vacation at the time on his cell phone! LOL. The asst manager called him and I was more than happy to talk to him. He appologized up and down for the way I was treated and made the managers on duty do exactly what they were suppose to do. Even made them give me an item I was going to purchase for free as a "sorry" (it was a Gerber sippy cup).

Even i was in the same situation yesterday and taught the cashier in RA abt BOGO policy. My cashier first had an argument with me and said the BOGO coupon price would be 1.99 and not 3.99 and i had to argue with him and set the things straight only after 10 min of argument. But finally i won and got my stayfree!!! |

I shopped 2 times at the same RA this weekend. On Sat. there was no problem with IP's or BOGO for the Stayfree. On Sunday they refused to take my IP's. Same Assistant Mgr., except she told me the manager has instructed no IP's unless they say "Rite Aid". Excuse is "because of coupon fraud". I didn't have much fight in me so I'm contacting corporate today with the name of the Mgr. & Asst. Mgr. Do you think it's better to call or email and go back armed with a written response? Not making the purchase yesterday didn't cause me much pain since the $5/25 expires end July. I usually wait until RA restocks towards the end of the sale week since most of the items I wanted were gone by noon on Sunday anyway. |
