Scenario without stayfree deal

Does anyone have any suggestion for the J&J this week without the BOGO Q deal? Or are you waiting for anyother week? I'm stuck and not sure?

Sorry, but this seems to be the major week for the J&J products. I haven't seen an ad scan for 7/19 yet, but the others don't look as good for the items that qualify for this rebate.

Maybe you could work up something for the positively Ageless Aveeno since it's 20% off this week (and combine it with the $10 IP, if your RA will let you use it?)

i wish i could think of something (i don't need a ton of pads nor can get enough q's) My store will not take ips over $2 so the high value aveeno is out. I might grab some more bandaids. I'm also thinking the ky might be grabbed-- i have a $5 q and it looks like it double dips... grab it with a couple mentos gum to put me over $25. so it would look like 23.99 ky, 2 mentos gum= 25.99- 5 q for ky-2qs for mentos-5/25= 13.99 + tax. Not a money maker but will get 23.99 credit for the rebate and 4 scr for the ky.

Reset

Coupon.com has reset and the LISTERINE has a $2.00 coupon. That will work. My store doesn't take BOGO and does not take coupons over $5.00 either.

You can buy the band-aids. (The ones with the Anti-biotic and the Ultra-Strips only). They are $4.49 and $4.99 each, and are BOGOF this week ... there are $1.00 / 1 coupons out there.

So if you buy 18 of the $4.49, and 4 of the $4.99 ones. That gets you a total of $50.39 towards the J&J, and qualifies you for the $25 GC. And if you use 22 of the $1.00/1 mc's, and split it up into 2 transactions (to use two of the $5/$25), it's a moneymaker.

You would do it like this:

Transaction #1 --
Buy 12 of the $4.49 band-aids: $26.94 (remember register takes bogof)
Use a $5/$25 coupon: ($5.00)
Use 12 of the $1/1 manuf cou's: ($12.00)
OOP Transaction 1: $9.94

Transaction #2 --
Buy 6 of the $4.49 band-aids: $13.47 (remember register takes bogof)
Buy 6 of the $4.99 band-aids: $9.98 (remember register takes bogof)
Buy a filler (must be over $1.55): $1.55 (20 oz soda for example)
Use a $5/$25 coupon: ($5.00)
Use 12 of the $1/1 manuf cou's: ($12.00)
OOP Transaction 1: $10.00

Total OOP both transactions: $19.94 ... and you earn the $25 GC.

One more cool thing about the band-aids is that they're eligible for reimbursement under FSA's. So if you have an FSA through work or whatever, that's a bonus!

Look, realistically you're not likely to buy this many of the band-aids (most stores near me won't even have this many). But it shows that the band-aids can be used as a product towards filling this deal (even if not entirely)!!

I like MichiganMan's ideas,

sdougas, call corporate about the coupon amount. I believe their policy changed to allow up to a $5.00 IP coupon. They were pretty responsive when I called!

I posted this in another forum. But....a $5.00 coupon and a $2.50 coupon prints out with the $10.00 coupon for the Aveeno positivley ageless. For some reason, I did not have a problem using the $10.00 coupon. I verified the coupon at the coupon verification website, printed this out, and took the entire sheet of coupons with me to RA. My RA also knows me really well, so this may not work. You can also use the $5.00 off two and $2.00 off one coupons for the positivley ageless sunscreen. This should be onsale for $8.79.

Anyhow, the Daily Cleansing Pads are included in both the J&J rebate and qualify for the Aveeno coupon. I just verified my rebate.

I have done the following for the rebate in three runs, all on sale this week:

$21.57 3X7.19 Positivley Ageless cleansing pads 28 count - these are great!
$23.96 4X5.99 Aveeno Shampoo
1X4.49 Listerine
=$50.02 plus tax
-$10.00 Pos Age. Coupon
-$8.00 for 4X$2.00 Aveeno IP Coupons
-$2.00 for Listerine
-$9.00 (18% for 5 off 25 and was the allocation of the 5 off 25 per item purchased)
= $20.04
- $25.00 Gift Card
= -$3.98 plus taxes (about even after tax)

If you use the $5.00 off two and the $2.00 off one that prints out with the $10 coupon then add $3.00. Still a good deal without the stayfree. It would be -$.98 plus taxes. I used the two degree deod.(and $2.00 IP), $0.99 Chow Mein (kid loves it) and the Magnum Razor ($2.00 IP) for fillers. The Degree and the razor are not on sale in all areas, so check your ad. All of my purchases were around $25 to $27.

Happy Shopping!

18% is the approximate percent off I received for the $5 off 25 RA coupon for my total purchase price on three different runs. Each run was about $25 to $27 plus tax. I only put the dollar amount of the discount attributed to the J&J rebate. Sorry....my dad was an accountant, old habits die hard.

Run 1:
2x5.99 FOR Aveeno Shampoo
1X4.49 for Listerine
1X6.99 for Degree
2X0.99 Chow Mein
=25.44
- $4.00 Aveeno Coupons
- $2.00 Degree Coupon IP (no longer available, sorry)
-$5.00 5 off 25
= $14.44
Run 2:
3X7.19 Aveeno Cleansing Pads
4X.99 Chow Mein
=25.53
- $10.00 Aveeno
-$5.00 off 25
= $10.53
Run 3:
2X5.99 Aveeno Shampoo
1X6.99 Degree
1X6.99 Razor
=25.96
- $4.00 Aveeno
- $2.00 Degree
-$2.00 Razor Coupon
-5 off 25
= 12.96

= 37.93 oop

Rebates:
- 25 off 50 J&J
- 10.00 Degree
- 2.00 razor
= 0.93 plus tax

Happy Shopping

No Problem. That is what AFC is for!!!!

You are going to love the cleansing pads.

Thanks to everyone who posts the ads, they help so much with planning the multiple runs to get the best deals. So far for Rite Aid this month I am at 107.07 retail cost, with only 4.43 out the door after rebates!!!! I love SCR, I have been doing them for over 10 years.
