I think my Homeland is closing... I live in a one grocery store at a time town... we used to have a grocery called Redbud... Safeway (now Homeland) opened and Redbud closed shortly after, Homeland has been the only groceryfor years now... then Reasors opened last year or so... now Homeland is looking pretty *we closing soon* the pharmacy is officially closed (I think Wal Greens paid them out) the freezer section is dwendling to nada... no more double coupons for me...*SNIFF*

anyone ever go to the store in Catoosa?... It's closing July 11th... A manager told me this morning... they only found out a week ago... the owner of the building isn't renewing their lease. He doesn' want to put the money into the building that it needs to keep it from falling down around the customers... *errr* No more double coupons here... I think I may jump off the curb today and end my dispair...

I go to the one in Catoosa some times...they are very picky about coupons, but if there is a good deal, I will go there. That really sucks! Now I will just have 1 homeland :-( Oh well, guess I should be happy about that.

Is the 31st and Harvard store too far for you to drive? If you jump on 44, it would only be 10 more minutes or so from the Catoosa store.

Nope not too far to drive for double coupons! LOL

I was actually pretty sad until I remembered the 31st store... then I felt better , heck I drive to BA and South T if I need something so 31st will just be another hop. :-)

I'm so upset too!! I go to the Catoosa store most often, with it being the closest to my house. It does need lots of repairs though and the cashiers were always rude. Now I will have to drive many more miles to get any deals. The 31st & Harvard store always seems to be sold out of all the sale items when I go.This is awful news. Let's hope gas prices don't keep going up because it won't be worth the drive for me.

I agree...the Catoosa store is dirty and rude and the 31st store is always sold out. sigh.....How is the Sand Springs store? It might be worth a 15 minutes on the hwy??

Coming back from the lake last weekend I so wanted to stop in Muskogee at the Homeland, they have two, but I didn't have my coupons with me and we were all exhausted.The store on Okmulgee St. looked nice. Anyone shop there? Are they coupon friendly?

Yep, that's why I heard they were closing... the owner of the building (not homeland) didn't want to put any money into the building to keep it from falling down around the customers... *sigh* Oh well... I WILL miss double coupons but it hasn't been a great store since back in it's Safeway days... Wish they'd build a new one.

The boy today checking me out was cracking me up (kind of) He was saying with all most everything he picked up "No more cans, No More bread, No more cereal, NO MOre fruit, No More grumpy customers... (in fun, he's only 18 and just graduated, so he didn't mean it mean, more like I will finally get the heck out of here...)

They *used* to be awesome with coupons, they doubled everything and pushed every coupon except expired through, they didn't even care if it was the exact product as long as it was the same brand *remenecing* ahhh those were the days... Here's one for the history books,I remember when there was a lumber yard there in that spot. *Now where's my specteeecles and cane*

I shop at Sand Springs, but am new to this whole thing. I have found that they are out of sale items a lot, but they aren't coupon picky, so that's good. Does anyone know where to get the cheapest Sunday papers around Sand Springs or Tulsa? I think they are 2 for $3 at QT. Anything better?

I think it must be Homelands motto *We promise to be out of sale items by the end of the first day of the sale.*

I went to Homeland the day before yesterday and did ok... I saved 47% and that was including the extra 20% store wide going out of business buy our junk sale. A few days before that they was having a 10% off everything and I saved 53%... it's all in the coupons I really felt for all thsoe people that was snatching things off the shelves *thinking* they was getting good deals... 20% off of all ready to much is only a little less than over priced... unless u follow the 20% discount with $100. worth of $1.00 coupns *big smile*

My husband drives by that store on his way to and from work. He told me yesterday that it did actually close.

Closed. I drove by it yesterday, it's gone.
Now, that makes me worry about all of them. That's 2 we've heard about in the last
2 weeks, isn't it ? I go to the Pryor store, and it's good. Other than Walmart, it's Pryor's main grocery store. It's usually well stocked and clean, and for the most part, coupon friendly. However, I heard this week they are cracking down hard on expiration dates on coupons.

I shop that one once in awhile. The have always been great to me and usually find everything I want. I have not tried the other store in Muskogee.

I found the store in Pratville on 41st has everything on sale. More then the 31st homeland in Tulsa. The girls are a lot nicer also. Check them out when you go over to Sand Springs.
