You are welcome to them - although I don't think I will be going to the get-together. It looks like we will be out of town. If I know someone who is going - I will send them your way! I seriously have about 24 boxes of 12. About 10 of those are going to expire in the next month (I put them in a tote so dh wouldn't eat them all at one sitting and then forgot about them!).

As far as the $1.50 qs - I didn't use any IPs. My printer isn't working. I'm not even sure what product those would have been for? I just had $1/1 Pop Tart qs - I had 6 of them and then didn't use qs for the other 2 items. I did get the coupon for the beef patties and the buns - be careful! They print at the bottom of your receipt. They are not typical catalinas that spit out of the other machine.

Rach, I was in W St Paul at about 8:30. I put together 3 transactions, and put the stuff in the car in between each trip, so I was there for probably 45 minutes. Surely one of these days we will bump into each other.

The Betty crocker catalina that is talked about in the Cub thread is working at Rainbow and they are b1g1 free 2.50 each so I bought 4 for $5.00 and got back a $2.50 catalina.

Hi all. I'm new to this forum as I just figured out that Rainbow Foods and Copps Foods are owned by the same company and run the same specials. I was at my local Copps yesterday for a HUGE shopping trip. No doubles on Tues, I'm afraid, but I needed to make a major grocery trip and it wouldn't have been feasible to do doubles for all the stuff anyway. I work today so I'll only have a brief time to run over to Copps to do doubles, so I saved a few double Q plans for today and did the bulk of the shopping yesterday. With the amount of store premiums you get, I think it actually works out about equal this way. You have to spend $50 to get a store premium and the store premiums are redeemable for gift cards for free groceries. I got 9 premiums yesterday and you need 10 to get $20 off. That's as good as doing multiple doubles.

But, I digress...

I wanted to say that I did multiple deals yesterday with coupons like this. I had five of the buy 2 cereal get $2 off fruit coupons and used them in addition to multiple $1/1 coupons for the actual cereal boxes. I got the $10 instant cash back and I also used some buy 2 cereal get $2 off 1 gallon milk coupons.

Even w/o doubles, I got 16 boxes cereal, $10 worth of fresh fruit and 3 gallons of milk for about $7.

Not only that, but I bought 5 Ritz crackers using $1/1 Ritz coupons, then used buy one Ritz get one Wheat Thins free coupons to get 5 free boxes of Ritz. Combined the Ritz/Wheat Thins with the five Cokes for $10 deal by using five "buy two Nabisco crackers and get $2 off Coke multipack bottles". The Nabisco/Coke coupons were on a tearpad by the Ritz crackers. With those coupons, the Coke was basically free, as were the Wheat Thins.

I paid $7.50 for 5 Ritz, 5 Wheat Thins Artisan and 5 multipacks of Diet Coke (6 packs of 24 oz bottles).

I imagine that ymmv depending on the store and the cashier, but I had absolutely NO problems at all with my purchases, even using all these coupon combinations plus many others. I worked every deal I possibly could and combined them when I was able.

I read the coupons to be $2 off the *fruit* or the *milk*, rather than the cereal. That's how they were worded. So I was using those coupons on fruit and milk and other coupons on the cereal. Not all stores might interpret it that way. Otoh, the Coke/crackers coupons were less specific. They said "$2" off when you buy two Nabisco crackers and one multipack Coke bottles. But they still gave them to me.

Wow, that's a great deal. I wonder if my store would let me do this? (Copps) Usually most stores won't let you buy gift cards with coupon deals around here.

Wish I could get the buns - but we are leaving town tomorrow morning and I live 18 miles from my nearest Rainbow. Basically, I go once a week - and I go when my ds is at an activity from 8-10 a.m. So, I have a little over an hour to shop and usually do 4 transactions - which is not a lot of time since I still have my 5 year old with me!

But thanks for the heads up - wish I could take advantage of it! Even if I had thought of it earlier - I could not have done another transaction today. I was almost late to pick up my ds as it was!

It appeared to me that not all the Kelloggs cereals were included but that there were certain ones marked as $2.50 each in our store. Granted, I didn't ask for confirmation on this, I just bought from the selection that was marked at the sale price. We had the following:

Special K, all varieties
Kelloggs Raisin Bran Crunch
Apple Jacks Gliders
Corn Pops
Frosted Mini Wheats (original, no strawberry or blueberry)
Froot Loops
Frosted Flakes

They had alot marked at my store I would think if it is in the size range in the ad it would work. There was alot more things marked they say buy 8 get $10 off. They had kelloggs fruit snacks, keebler 100 calorie right bites. Also Cheeze its were marked for this also. The cereals I bought were Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, Smacks, Fruit loops, Special K Fruit and Yougurt, Mini Wheats somthing. As far as the self check out you use to be able to do you coupons yourself but the last time I did it someone had to come over to do them.

If you are buying Frosted Flakes, look for boxes that have $5 in coupons inside them. I bought 2 boxes, and found 2 different sets of 5 coupons.

I did a deal for my friend who is short money and paid .08 cents for it...

8 cereals for $20 (2 x $1.50 printable for raisin bran, 4 x $1 off 1 (doubled)) = -11 in coupons ($1 in overage)
- the $10 for buying 8 cereals.
1 loaf of bread $1.29
2 beans .98 each ( $1/2 printable doubled) = -.02 overage
1 flat bread melts $3 (she had a free coupon) = -.19 cashier gave overage

Oh wait..she gets to do a $3 refund for the Flat bread - .44 stamp = -.2.56

PLUS on the boxes of Raisin Bran she can send in for a FREE movie!

Oh...AND I found a pad of .75 off Kelloggs Special K bar! They will double and are on sale too! Though these are $2.50 reg price also! So I had to get $5 more to cover the $25 minimum.

Question: my cashier hit subtotal after my 8 boxes of cereal to make it $10 - so I then had to have $15 in merchandise to get to the coupon doubling - is that correct?

Or - should I only need $5 worth of merchandise after the 8 boxes for coupons to double?

No...you shouldn't of needed anything to get it to $25. Your coupons would of doubled no matter what as the shelf price was over $25...though to make a cashier happy, you would of needed $5 more. The next time, grab a gift card then to make it $25. You will end up using it.
