i found this odd...went to target to pick up a few things that i found more q's for that were on clearance a week ago...went in today and both items were full price again.

I got the hefty extends bags last week that were $1.87 on clearance...now they are $3.59 again
and now that i finally found a couple glade q's i went to get the clearance candle tins that were 1.67 ...again no longer on sale...now ringing at 2.99

anyone know if this is typical at target?

sometimes they put certain sku #s on sale...for example if the hefty expands bags had a sku # of 0012, and those were the ones from a while ago, and they've since updated sku #s to 1012, than they put the olders ones on clearance. It happens with new packaging as well as being close to exp. dates. HTH.

I know CVS does this, but I've never noticed it at Target. Usually things just clearance down and down until they eventually remove them from the shelves.

The candles were on price cut not clearance and that sale went through 6/22. I'm not sure about the hefty.

I got a rain check for 15 of the candles. I will go back and get them once they are back on the shelves.

Yup I had this happen with the 3 pack of ziploc bags. I finally had my coupons and found one package left but it was back up to full price. I checked with someone and they looked at me like I had two heads. Oh well.

The Hefty were part of a price cut through 6/22 also!

I went to Target a few weeks back and they had Huggie diapers and wipes on clearance. The wipes were 30% off and the woman was marking them down to 50% off. However, the diapers were 30% off and I watched her take the clearance stickers off and put them back to full price.

What you probably saw was her putting clearance stickers on the wrong boxes and then removing them. All those boxes look the same and sometimes they make mistakes.

Like PP said, they were probably on the wrong boxes. The diaper count of course is going down as the price is staying the same or going up. They were trying to get rid of their stock of older amounts.

I went to get a small generator for sister bday on clearance for $49.00 and it was back up to $79.00 crazy!!

I have noticed Target gets new packaging and SKU #'s on almost everything. Got daughter some dance tights on clearance. Wanted another pair and thought they had gone back to regular price. Turns out packaging was totally identical, but UPC number on items were different. If I had not worked retail before and noticed it I would have thought same thing. But somehow the other ones must have been last year's numbers, or something like that.

I learn that at times I need to look at UPC's, cause they may look the same, but are not same numbers.

I bought a frog shower curtain on clearance at Target for $4 and when they restocked the shelves the exact same shower curtain was back again for $16. I don't know if it had a different UPC code or they made a mistake by marking it down in the first place but that was the first time that I ever saw that happen at Target.
