ETA: I have worked out and added a few possibilities for those of you who may not get so many papers that week, to help you maximize whatever you do get. If you only really want to get 1 or 2 papers, scroll down to the red writing further down for some ideas.


I was just thinking this might deserve it's own thread b/c some might not notice it in the weekly thread.

Free Febreze products after coupons and ECBs using coupons from 7/5 P&G insert:

$5 ECB WYB $10 Febreze Products LIMIT 5
Febreze Candle $6.50
Febreze Noticeables $6.50
Febreze Air Effects $3
Febreze Fabric Refreshener $5

7/5 P&G coupons:
Free Febreze Air Effects when you buy any Febreze Fabric Refresher (7/31/09)
Febreze Noticeables Starter Kit Save $4.00 (7/31/09)

scenario:
4 febreze noticeables 6.50 = 26.00
3 febreze air effects 3.00 = 9.00
3 febreze fabric refresher 5.00 = 15.00
= 50.00 (for limit of 5 deals)
use 4 x 4.00 noticeables = 16.00
use 3 x free air effects 3.00 = 9.00
= 25.00 (pay w/ ECBs of course LOL)
get back 25.00 ECBs = FREE

You can also break this up and just buy a few items at a time if you don't want 1 big $25.00 ECB. Example:

transaction #1:
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
1 febreze air effects 3.00
1 febreze fabric refresher 5.00
= 14.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 7.50
get back 5.00 ecbs
(still have 4.50 toward next deal)

transaction #2: (remember you still have 4.50 toward this deal)
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
use 4.00 noticeabes Q
= 2.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (you had 4.50 toward the deal and spend another 6.50. now you'll still have 1.00 toward the next deal)

transaction #3: (remember you still have 1.00 toward next deal)
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
1 air effects 3.00
1 fabric refresher 5.00
= 14.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 7.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (now you will still have 5.50 toward next deal)

transaction #4: (remember you have 5.50 already)
febreze noticeables 6.50
use 4.00 noticeables Q
= 2.50
get back 5.00 ecbs (you will now have 2.00 for the last deal)

transaction #5: (remember you already have 2.00 left for this last deal)
1 air effects 3.00
1 fabric refresher 5.00
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher) Q
= 5.00
get back 5.00 ecbs

Total OOP: $25.00 (pay w/ as many ECBs as possible to lower your 'real money' OOP) and you get back $25.00 ECBs, so FREE.

ETA: Just adding a quick note here - if you choose to do the scenario that calls for several transactions, be careful and watch if you're doing them close together b/c sometimes the register system does not 'remember' or 'catch up' to the fact that you've just done something for the same deal. So it might be best to try and space out those transactions a little to give the system time to 'remember' what you just did. If you *do* experience the problem w/ it not 'remembering', you can call or email CS and they will be able to see that you are owed the ECBs.


Or if you'd rather turn the Febreze deal into a MM:

buy 8 febreze noticeables 6.50 each = $52.00
use 8 of the $4.00 coupons (-32.00)
Pay $20
get back $25.00 ECBs ($5 MM)
even better if you have a $/$$ to use with the deal.

ETA: BONUS: These ecbs will roll right into August - hopefully we'll have a diaper deal by then which will be great to use a large ECB on if you do the deal that gets back $25 all in one shot.

(obviously this is better than scenario #1 b/c you get more stuff and it's still free)

2 newspaper scenario #3:
2 febreze noticeables 6.50x2 = 13.00
3 febreze air effects 3.00x3 = 9.00 (you're getting 3 b/c otherwise you will be just under $30 and will only get back $10 ECBs instead of $15 ECBs)
2 febreze fabric refreshers 5.00x2 = 10.00
= 32.00
use 2x4.00 = 8.00 noticeables coupon
use 2x3.00 = 6.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher coupon)
Pay $18.00

This is a great deal...thanks! The only problem will be trying to get 8 inserts in the week they come out. I usually end up with quite a bit, but it takes me time to "collect" them (o.k....take them out of paper dumpsters and recycling bins! )

I have a $15 ecb that will need to be used up so the purchase 8 at once seems to be the best one for me, but then again an ECB that large would be hard to spend unless there is a great deal down the pipe somewhere.

How do you know so far in advance what the P&G coupons will be? I know we have preview's for the upcoming coupons but 2 weeks in advance? Wow!! Please do tell.

Someone on another site gets a look at it super-early and posts a list. I'm not sure how, I just know that I love it. LOL I went through the list they posted and found the Febreze coupons and got excited.

Unfortunately you can't really know for sure in advance if your area is going to get the exact same coupons unless someone in your area gets the insert in advance and shares their info. You *can* check the inserts in the paper before you actually buy it - which I frequently do - so that you don't end up buying a paper that you don't need.

Wow... I did not know you could look thru the paper at the inserts. I may buy it at Walgreens instead of Walmart as the Walmart cashiers might confront me but my Walgreens makeup dept friend would not mind :-)

I think I will do my first Febreze transaction with the $25 ecb as it is the simplest for me :-)

another benefit to buying all the products in 1 transaction is that for a $25 p&g purchase you will recieve free batteries. Makes this deal a little sweeter.
