Here is what I am buying today w/ double qs:

4 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray on sale for $2.00 each (use two $1.00/2 qs doubled - makes them $1.00 each!)
1 Activia yogurt on sale for $2.00 (use $1.00 q doubled)
1 Yo-Plus Yogurt - not on sale but I'm throwing caution to the wind! $2.69 @ my Rainbow (use $1.00 q doubled)
1 V-8 Juice on sale for $3.00 (use $1.00 q doubled)

To get to $25.00 I am buying:
strawberries on sale @ $1.50
raspberries on sale @ $1.50
nectarines on sale @ $1.49#
large green peppers on sale @ $.50 each
Hunts Pudding 4-packs of pudding on sale @ $1.00 each
2 Suddenly Salad on sale @ 1.00 each (use $.50/2 q)
Roundy's pretzels on sale for $1.00 (10-16 oz. packages)

I'm going to do 2 rounds today the first will be the buy $25 of Purex, soft scrub or Renuzit and get $5 back. I'm going to buy 8 soft scrubs 4 of the wipes and 4 of something els that is 2/$5 and 2 Renuzit peral scents. $25 use 4 b1g1 free Soft Scrub coupons -$10 then 4 printable $1 off soft scrub wipes doubled -$8 2- .75 Renuzit coupons 1 doubled -$1.50 -.75= $4.75 before tax then get $5 back. The next one will be to buy the Hefty paper plates if I can find them . Use the .50 off one and double it to get 5 free then I'll use some of my other free coupons to get up to $25 I may not need alot of other thing because it say save up to $9.25 on 5 for the plates. So that might count for as much as $14.25 depending on the price of the plates I get.

Forgot about the BOGO on Crystal Light. It says in ad "save up to $3.19" - & some of u have $2.00/2 printable from coupons.com. Unfortunately my printer died but I'm still going to get those for that great price.

I did pretty good today! Did 5 transactions and everything was in stock. Perhaps I need to go at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesdays - or maybe Rainbow is just more stocked these days.

Here's what I did:

1st and 2nd transactions:

6 Banana Nut Cheerios - at 3.69 each or 22.34
1 Band-aid (Strawberry Shortcake) - 3.45 reg price/$2 on sale

Got the $10 off immediately and had 6 $1/2 coupons from this week's paper for the Cheerios and 2 $1/1 Band-Aid coupons (making the Band-Aids free). By the way, they had Batman, Strawberry Shortcake and Nascar Band-Aids at that price. I didn't see any other kinds - although I was primarily looking for kids' Band-Aids.

Paid $6.21 each time or $12.42 total

3rd transaction:

2 Hefty 50-ct plates - 2.85 reg/$1 sale = $5.70 reg/ $2 sale (used 2 .50 coupons doubled) = FREE
6 Lunchables - $2.29 reg/$1 sale = $13.74 reg/$6.00 sale
1 Neosporin - $4.49 - 33% off = 3.01 (used $1 coupon doubled) = $1.01
1 Neosporin + pain relief = 5.15 - 33% off = $3.45 (used $1 coupon doubled) = $1.45

Paid $8.46 (including tax)

4th transaction:

4 Lunchables - $2.29 each ($1 sale) - $9.16 reg price/$4 sale price = $4.00
2 packs of 9V Duracell batteries - $6.74 each = $13.58 reg/ $7.98 with the $3.99 Rainbow q - then take off 2 .75/1 coupons doubled or $3 = $4.98 for both
Lactaid milk - $4.49 reg - used a .55 coupon doubled = $3.39

Paid $12.79

5th transaction:

2 packs of Hefty (one bowl, one plates) - $2.85 each. $5.70 reg/$2 sale price. Used 2 .50/1 coupons doubled = FREE
3 Lunchables - $2.29 reg = $6.87 reg or $3.00 sale
2 packs of Duracell 9V batteries - $6.74 each = $13.58 reg/ $7.98 with the $3.99 Rainbow q - then take off 2 .75/1 coupons doubled or $3 = $4.98 for both

Paid $8.47 (including tax).

So all together I paid $42.14 for all of that. Plus, I got coupons for 4 free gallons of milk (which is a $14.00 value).

The best thing was that almost everything went smoothly and most everything on my pre-planned list was in stock - woohoo!

I saw that Nexcare bandaids are $2.24 and with the $1/1 PDF coupon that is available it would be $.24. The kids ones were included as well, in case you needed more ideas.

Soft Scrub® Official Site has the $1 off printable for the wipes. I did that sernario at lunch and it cost me $6.25 with tax and got the $5 off he had a little trouble with the Renuzit coupons it said to many coupons but maybe because of the buy one get one free had had to have someone come over and she scanned her card and it worked. Stoppin by on my way home to get the plates hopefully they have them. The renuzit coupon is also in the 05-17-09 SS.

do you have friends save their papers for you?
or do you buy multiple papers?

i'm trying to learn the game so I can save some money when the lady and I move in together soon

Most people will buy more than one paper and have their friends save the paper for them. In order to save money, you have to spend some on the newspaper. They do have them at the Dollar Tree for $1 on Sundays.

i get one paper , get my neighbors paper also , then i trade some for ones i use alot like cereal or yogurts, also my mom gives me a lot . some big ones and really good ones i will buy but usally not . save save save ever coupon.

My transaction got kind of messed up because the cashier hit total after the cereal to make sure the $10 came off and after the crystal light to make sure the b1g1 came off. So my total after those 2 discounts came to $22 so I ended up adding 2 things that I did not have any q's for to get to 25.05. So it worked out but I would have been better off if he had not totaled before the end! He did not get what I was trying to say so I just let it go. Did this happen to anyone else??

The $25 is before coupons and discounts. You didn't need to do that - my $10 came off automatically as soon as the last Cheerios rang up. My subtotal was a little over $14 before coupons - I had no problems with the coupons doubling. You didn't need to get those 2 items at all. Next time, try it!

Same here....I had no issues with the double coupons. It confused the cashier for a minute, but her quickly realized it was ok and continued scanning my Qs.

my store also you never have to before or should say after 25 i did it yesterday and was around i am sure 15 after 10 came off for cereal then had a free coupon and 6 other and 5 double no problem paid 7.00 for 6 cereal and two free milks

He would not even scan them because he said it had to be $25. I had a huge line behind me as they only had 2 registers open so I just let it go. That is annoying though!

that crazy but have heard this but evenif i am not at 25 you still can use couppon and not double (shee they will )i always hate that tho my rainbow also only haves to lines open frustrating that way

Next time just tell him to use the coupons - you don't care if they double. I bet they double anyway! He HAS to take your coupons - I would go immediately to customer service and talk to a supervisor or manager about that. That is just not right!
