The "Yellow Advantage" is one of three concurrent sales running at Publix at any given time. These sales are:

1) Regular weekly sales, which depending upon your county have one of the two following cycles:
Start Weds and end the following Tuesday, OR
Start Thurs and end the following Weds

2) "Yellow Advantage" (our name for it, not Publix' name) - more or less month-long sale. It's an "Advantage Buy" flyer with a bright yellow header & background (see the PDF attached to the original post). Sale items are mostly food & household goods. This is the flyer that the current thread is discussing. The current Yellow Adv ends this coming Saturday; the new one runs from June 13th through July 10th.

3) "Green Advantage" (again, our name for it, not Publix' name) - More or less month-long sale. Mostly Health & Beauty items. The current one runs from May 30th through June 26th.

The two Advantage flyer periods are generally staggered about 2 weeks apart. It keeps us hopping.

No, not all three.

It's store coupon (Publix or competitor*) + manufacturers = 2 coupons per item.

One gotcha that I ran into last week was that the register didn't allow entering more coupons than physical items rung up. The cashier was trying to scan in a pair of coupons right after she had scanned in the item they were for, so it had only one item and rejected the second coupon until she scanned the second item. It appears to be purely count-based, so a $1/2 gives you a +2 to the item count but only +1 to the coupon count

Which means I'm not sure how it works elsewhere if they have five items, each with two coupons, and don't want to pad the ticket with other things.

if you have more items than coupons it requires a supervisor to enter their code, sometimes i find it easier to just add koolaid packs or ramen noodles, something like that. but if you just have a small order and dont want to add items, just take it up to CS and they can do it up there.
