My store never has overage. I went today and ALL my coupons were adjusted down. I'm in Passaic County...

My first triple-coupon event and it was good! Here are the highlights:

Manager Special - Reduced sugar Pillsbury cake mix (fudge and yellow) was half price - 1.39. I remembered having $1/2 so I grabbed a few
Carolina rice - Jasmine 3.49 - .50 tripled so 1.99 for a nice sized Jasime rice (got 2)
Carolina rice boxed long grain - 1.29 - .20 sale discount - .50 tripled - so made .30 on each (got 2 as I don't like to use more than 4 of the same coupon without knowing if it will work and this was the same coupon as above - I will hit them again and use up the rest of these coupons)
French's Fried Onions - ok, not sure what I was thinking but I've had these .50 coupons and with a triple event, that makes the 3.99 seem more reasonable. Well, got a $1 Catalina so these turned out to cost $1.49. It'll keep until Thanksgivings and I'll have it for the green bean cassarole. I guess I will need to figure out how to make that dish!)
French's Honey Mustard 2.99 - 1.49 sale discount - .75 triples so made .75 on each. The last coupon beeped (I think due to the overage) and the cashier just put it through so it was a money maker.
Sobe Water - didn't know if they accepted IP so I just got one Sobe BOGO. They accepted it.
Gatorade 32 oz - less than half price .75 but no coupons
Domino Brown sugar 2.19 - .30 tripled
Domino white sugar 5 pound 3.39 - .30 tripled - I'll need it.
Ziploc Steam bags 2.99 - .50 tripled (I just wanted to try them)
Tabasco 1.79 - .75 tripled but automatically adjusted to be free - no overage

I also picked up a few things without coupons (mango, avocado, etc)

Paid 24.44
Saved 66.89

I will be going back after really looking through my coupons. Anything less than one dollar either on sale or that I need/use!

I couldn't find my bug spray (Hot Shot?) coupon that would have made the on sale bug spray free (on sale for 1.49, $1.50 coupon). Be sure to dig it out when you go!

I e-mailed A&P yesterday to ask if they would accept IP's because I know that Pathmark does and Pathmark is owned by them. This is the response I received:

While both Pathmark and A&P are owned by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, their coupon policies are different. When The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. acquired Pathmark in December of 2007, it was currently their policy to accept Internet Coupons from their website. This triple week is great! I just went on my first complete shopping trip since joining AFC, and all I have to say is... WOW!!! I didn't do as well as others, but ended up spending $34.83 OOP for $108.24 worth of stuff!

I didn't have a q for the French's, but my A&P had a $1 blinkie for it right on top of the shelf so I got 2 bottles for $1!

Couldn't grab any cold stuff, ran over to store on lunch from work but was able to get $56.16 for $11.85(15.85 minus the $4 for buy 6 boxes of Nature valley). Would have been better but they were out of stock of the suave deorants, carolina rices, and shout.

Lawry's marinades were $1.99. Good thing I had my binder of coupons, 50cent tripled, so 49 cents for the marinades.

My wife thinks i'm a dork walking around the supermarkets with a binder of coupons, but it's works.

AP Ortley: received overage on the Suave deordorant coupons. (4)
Ended up with $23.27 worth of stuff for $2.11 out of pocket. Couldn't use the $4 off since total was below. Thought i'd have just over $4 but the overage ruined it :-)
Still no SHOUT but did grab a few more peelies at Shoprite for .55 off. Hopefully they'll restock before the sale ends.

While I have been doing my runs and A&P I noticed the following do not auto correct when using coupons: Poweraid, Mentos, and the small Suave deo.

Ortega (no coups to begin with)

Betty Crocker- I have found at 3 stores 2 of the brownie bowls on discount = free

Also Transformer M&M's are on sale at .59 each, 1$ coup, and then the rest is covered by the overage.

My other filler has been tuna at 10 for 10, then the .55 coup.

1st trip 61 items for 0.10, 2nd 29 items for 0.48 (would have been less but I dropped a coupon and it scanned as it fell- not the one I wanted to use), and 26 items for 0.89. Every time I have had coupons left over due to overage.

I forgot Dannon Yogurt- Buy 16, use 0.05 coupon. Pay 0.40 for 16 yogurt AND get 3.00 back at the register. If I had a spare freezer/fridge I would do multiple of this deal.
