I was so excited for this past sunday's paper for the extra coupons from the last week. I picked up my two Denver Posts (there were only 4 left) and headed out the door. When I got home, NO COUPONS!! Even the Walgreen's circular was gone. I asked King Sooper's if i could return them, & they wouldn't take 'em. Not a big deal, but to whomever picked out the middle of the newspapers, you're going to rot in hell!

It's like licking all the cream from the oreos, then putting them back.

So, needless to say, I got screwed out of my coupons this sunday. There are bad people in this world, and some of them are shady couponers.

I'd contact the newspaper company. Tell them that you purchased them and the inserts were missing. Tell them that you attempted to return them and the store would not accept them and if there is anything that they can do for you.

^^ you can try that option but don't keep your hopes too high. I hope the paper company makes it right for you.

previously, when I bought papers from the vending machine I paid for 5 and when I got home, all of them were missing inserts. UGHHHHHHHH....I called the paper company and was so disappointed when they said they have no control of these papers especially the ones from vending machines. All they can say was sorry but they will not give me inserts to make up for the ones missing. I cannot believe they would not make it right for a customer even if they have tons of extra papers in their warehouse. With that kind of customer service, I canceled my subs immediately.

I went online on craigslist and asked for people's inserts. I met with a girl who sells me inserts for $.25 each. If all you really do is buy the newspaper for the inserts and you can access the ad's on line (or on here!) then you can be saving alot of money on news papers and be guaranteed to get your inserts. I get 4 sets of inserts for the price of one paper. It's an awesome deal!

that is really smart. in areas where there are good inserts and you find someone willing to sell complete inserts cheap, you can get more inserts for less than buying the full paper.

in contrast, there are some areas where inserts are sold cheap, the coupons found in the paper are not worth paying for.

Very true. I purchase one newspaper and get it sent to my house. It's $1 a newspaper through the subscription that way if I want to order more I can.

I get my Denver Posts from ollar Tree. Saves money. I put my papers in a cart, remove inserts and ads and then pay. They let me leave the papers with them to give out free or recycle.

That's nice of you! I'm debating on putting a manilla envelope on the newspaper stand thingy and ask people if they don't use their inserts I'd take them! Seems kind of tacky but our recycling is well gross and I don't want to go dumpster diving.. I'm always looking for free inserts.

omg thats happened to me..grrrr very frustrating!! So sorry!!

It's quite likely coupons were not actually stolen out of the newspaper - the newspaper only gets a limited number of inserts (whatever the coupon companies decide) and then the inserts go to subscribers first, then gas station newspapers, then other locations, and then the newspaper vending boxes. Your best bet is to buy them at a gas station and check for the inserts before buying! I have good luck buying them at 7-11 stores.

Call the paper company. When my hubby used to deliver in college we got calls all the time if there were things missing and the people got credits!
