I found Ziploc Zip and Steam on clearance for $1.24. So I used a $0.55/1 q and got them for $0.69! Only one was left at my local ST I wish there had been more! I went to Target.com and saw a $1 off Hefty Fresh Extends bags and 1 produce item. I got to thinking that (maybe) the $1/1 Hefty manu q with this might be decent. Also if you go today you can use the Target $1 off 1 lb of apples. (it expires today so you might be able to use it) My ST had the Hefty bags on sale for $1.87 so if you use the target q and the manu q you get free baggies when you buy Produce. Sooo the apples q, Target Hefty q and the manu Hefty q = free bags with cheap apples or free bags with any Produce you may purchase anyways.

Speaking of baggies, check your Target carefully. Yesterday, mine had 40ct gallon summer collection Glad baggies marked $1.25 on the shelf. They rang up $2.99 but policy is that they have to honor what the price is marked on the shelf. I was so surprised by how low the price was that I took a pic to be sure when I checked out. I also had a Q for $1 off 2, so it brought the price down to $1.50 for 2 boxes!

Did you know that "baggies" is actually a brand name? I hope there are other AFC'ers who remember the baggies brand (bags on a roll in a red box- came with twistie ties) from wikipedia- Baggies, made by Pactiv Corporation, were the first brand of food storage bags. Twist-tie-sealed bags that keep food fresh, they are available in quart, gallon and 2-gallon bags. Hefty(R) and Baggies(R) are registered trademarks of Pactiv Corporation. I haven't seen Baggies Brand for a really long time in the stores I shop...wonder if they are still out there?

Oh wow. I sure wish I would be able to find these as I have $1.00 off coupons for any Glad food storage product. I was just there getting some more Bertolli, but I never checked that aisle. I'm sure if they even have them, they won't be that price at my store. BTW, that is pure genius to have taken a pic of the price since you thought you might have trouble at checkout. I never would have thought of that! |
