Wags is nice because you can get a lot of each sale item whereas CVS limits the number of items you can get via your CVS card...

I prefer CVS, but like that you can get virtually unlimited RRs

If Wags had the items in stock then I would prefer them because you can get multiple items. However, they rarely have the items in stock and they won't get rainchecks on RR items (YMMV). I prefer CVS, even with their limits, because they are good about keeping an item in stock.

Extra Care Bucks.... Just unloaded some Walgreen's RR, and they had to "call" someone to verify I could use them. This is the same store, that had to call the district manager for confirmation before I could use my earned coupons. Sadly, I will just be doing the MM's at this store, and taking the RR's to a store that will accept them as a competitor q. |

I only really started doing ECB in the last month or so. Never did Wags' RR until recently. While I like that RR are virtually unlimited, the only limit being how many trips you're willing to make, I really don't like that you can't roll them. It's more complicated planning the trip to be sure you get all the RRs you should, and they expire so much faster. I prefer the ECB in the end.

| CVS all 98% of the time the other 2% at RiteAid. I love the ECB's, long expiration dates, you get the rebate instantly, can sometimes find some really great hidden deals and they are IP friendly RiteAid sometimes run some *gotta have it deals* for example, last Feb. (if I'm recalling correct) the cold medicine deals was awesome! So many Q's to match up and got back more than I paid from rolling a rebate check and Q's. The checks do not take long to come. I have gotten mine within (2) weeks of submission. Accepts IP's and the one near my home usually has everything on my list. Walgreens in my area goes every Q with a fine tooth comb, does not allow me to use 1 Q per item and Reads the Q as one per purchase. After a run in with the manager I was done with them. I spent more OOP than RA & CVS anyway. Finsished up my GC and threw it in the trash on my way out!

CVS for me is about 98%-99% of my shopping. ECB's are real easy to use and can be used on the same product, there are no limits, rules ect.. If Walgreen's has a great deal I will go there and cash in( I just unloaded about $60 in RR) but lately they really don't have anything I am interested in buying. I have shopped at Rite Aid before but stopped to go to Walgreen's , next week I will be returning to Rite Aid to pick up some good deals, since Walgreen's deals are real bad.

I LOVE ECBs ... they are easy to use -- I like that they are like store credit. I will shop at Walgreens, though, if there is a good deal going on.

I'm a hard core CVS'er..I haven't even tried the Wags or Rite Aid programs..From everything I read on AFC, they seem more complicated.

I strongly prefer CVS to Walgreens ... but that is more a function of the fact that our CVS stores are great to shop at (clean and organized stores, helpful cashiers etc), while our Walgreens are awful (dull and dreary stores, miserable cashiers)!!

I love CVS's ECB's because I can use them on anything and they spend just like cash but I prefer the amount I can get from Wags. If Walgreens gave longer exp dates and let those RRs spend like cash then I would definitely be a wags girl! Wait I already am a wags girl anyway!

I am def. a wag's gal! For the most part, my stores are friendly, and easy to roll. Every now and then you get those that are uneducated to the whole RR and try to tell you that you are wrong! But VERY FEW! I don't mind doing multiple trans, and the cosmetic employees enjoy me ringing out with them! CVS is nice, and friendly, but I just don't like going in there to be able to do only 1 transaction!

I cannot stand Wags anymore. Too many rule changes, and the checkers are usually rude about coupon use. Now you can only use six total coupons per transaction. uggg. I really liked the CVS system, and I did not mind the limits. I usually have such a large stock of items that I do not "need" anything anymore. I have been doing the Rite Aid SCR for over 10 years or so. I think since it started. I love it the best! |
