i think cvs raincheck never expire. I have read that people have raincheck since a year or two but i dont know any offical policy on the timeframe. But if it has been a longtime u can ask the manager at your store so he can substitute the product or call customer service to help u.

If you turn your RC over, you'll find their RC policy listed on the back. I get a RC for everything and anything that is listed in the sale paper that they are out of. I probably have 60 of them.

If your coupon expires just hang on to the RC, another coupon will come along and you'll still get the deal.
CVS is just great.
