You cant use a RR from one manufacture to pay for another RR deal from the same manufacture or else the RR wont print. From what it looks like its a list of companies and the products each makes. It would come in handy when trying to answer "If I buy this product with this RR, will another RR print?".

As an example, this week if you buy skintimate shavel gel you will get a $3 RR. If you try and use this $3 RR to buy Edge shave gel you wont get another $3 RR as the skintimate and edge RRs are both issued by SC Johnson.

The other day i was in Walgreens and wasn't feeling well. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what to use my visine RR's on, so i just kept them till next time. Now, If if I would have had this list with me, It would have taken all the guess work out. I could have looked on the list and have known that my 3.00 RR from the McNeil-PPC can't be used for the Reach toothbrushes if they spit out an RR, I would have not received it. Instead i know to use it on...lets say a SC Johnson product. That way i will get my RR.

Last week I started to write what the item was from along the left side of the RR. This way I can quickly ID which RRs they are from by just flipping through quickly. Next week I know to use all the ones that have 'chapstick' written on them to buy the scruncis. Writing the product on the RR has helped a LOT this week and I'm sure it would for you (or anyone else) along with your list. Give it a try!

I noticed that the reach rr is Johnson & Johnson/McNeil. The visine is just McNeil. I was afraid to use the reach rr towards a visine purchase because I didn't know if I would get the rr. Apparently McNeil is a Johnson & Johnson company. Think it matters???????? Also, is SC Johnson and Johnson & Johnson the same??????? Not trying to confuse anyone, but I definitely confused myself today when I was looking at my rr's and trying to use the right one. I look at the product pkg to see what it says, but the Johnson & Johnson/McNeil threw me off.

Tonight I rolled all my visine(McNeil-PPC) RR'S into skintimate & edge (SC Johnson) and still received and RR. So that tells me they're not the same company.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere or not, But thought it might help in choosing where to use those RR's. This is just the few that i've had in the past from these companys. Good post, but companies are only half(or less) of the equation in determining whether a RR will roll...the other half being the *value* of the RR...same *value* means you cannot roll it to that next promotion. Different *value* means you can roll it. The reason being the UPC generated is different when the value of the RR is different. All the RR machine cares about is if the UPC is not the same as the new one you are getting in a given transaction...it doesn't care about the company. Only the numbers.

Also sometimes even the same company has different family codes so it will work still fine. For example the Reach RR's family code is: "08137" while the Visine RR's is "12547". So you can roll fine in between these 2 RR promotions even if they were the same value as well.

And in a very weird quirk with these 2 current promotions the $3/2 or $3/3 manu coupon that is good for the Reach products is the same family code and value as the Visine RR thus causing it(the Visine RR) to not to print if you use that Reach manu coupon in that same transaction. The $3 Visine manu doesn't affect the Visine RR from printing though!

There is no problem exchanging a $2 RR for another $2 RR as long as they are not for products from the same company. If Advil was producing a $2 RR and you applied a $2 Chapstick RR as payment, you wouldn't get the new Advil one (both Wyeth companies).

I do this also if I'm working with more than a couple different RRs. Much easier to identify than the small print on the RR, and saves the mental manipulation of associating the parent company name with the product names.

DH gets a kick out of getting some of these deals, too. It makes it a lot easier for him not to use the wrong RR as payment.
