| Cashier said "We don't accept internet printables"
Hi everyone. Last night I made my way to Publix to pick up a few BOGO things. I also had a few internet coupons like South beach $1 and Birds Eye Voila $1 and some more. After ringing up my items, she scanned my regular coupons. Then she hands me back my internet printable coupons. She said her manager told her they couldn't accept them anymore. I looked around confused and asked when this change had happened. She said that the change was made this week. She called the manager or assistant manager over and he looked at them and told her to run them through. My question is has anyone else encountered this recently? I don't want a hassle each time I shop there with my IP's. If the manager is going to be called over each time I will just stop shopping there. I am hoping this was just a fluke! Has anyone had this happen? Thanks for your help! BTW I was shopping at a Publix in Nashville, Tn. |

I used IP's on Tuesday (in FL) and didn't have any problem at all. Hopefully, your experience was just a fluke and you won't have any problem on your next trip. |

If my Publix stops taking IP's I will probably start shopping somewhere else. The savings are minimal otherwise.

My store was still taking them the last time I shopped there. I actually do pretty good with just matching up coupons from inserts to their sale. I will ask my store mgr. the next time I am in there.

I had an issue with my local Publix (Broward County) 3 weeks ago and have not been back since. I asked the cashier when the policy changed, since I had used them the week before (same cashier) and she advised as long as she had worked there they have not accepted them. I asked her why she took them the week before if it has been the policy not to accept IP qs. She called the CS manager over and she told her to take them that it was only the store policy not to accept IP q for free items. On my way out the Store manager advised the cashiers had been working out other stores in the area to help out with some short staff issues and that some of the other store policies might be sticking with the cashiers. The Store manager advised she would be having a training session with her employees to remind them of the policy at her particular store. I have not gone back since then because I do not want the hassle or my frozen foods to melt while cashing out. I will go back to use my gift cards, but I do not know how much more after that if I continue to have problems with qs.

I ran into this problem at a Fry's store in AZ today....I had one printable. The kid said "we dont take printables UNLESS they are in color, because black and white means FRAUD". I was apalled. I have never had that problem. Fry's and Kroger somewhat similar, not sure if all the stores are going towards that or not?

My Publix takes IP's. The very nice manager said "At first everyone was worried about them, and then we realized it was no big deal". That was almost a year ago. The only caveat at my store is that if the barcode doesn't scan, they won't take it. I"m all right with that, but I haven't had any that wouldn't scan right away.

Don't think I would be shopping at Publix w/out my IP's. They are too expensive otherwise. I had problems using Q's yesterday too. The manager would not take my Target Q's, which is less than a mile away. She said I couldn't use them combined with Manuf. Q's. My response was the same, pretty puzzled. She said it has always been policy. Yeah right, tell that to all the other managers at all 6 Publix I have used them at countless times. Not much I could do, but I did email corporate yesterday and am waiting for a response. Told them w/out the Q use, I will be going back to WalMart if necessary. About the color Q's, that's crazy. I only have black ink in my printer, guess I would be out of luck. |

No publix around here but finally Acme accepts internets. Now all my 5 grocery stores take them - Acme, Pathmark, Giant, Genuardis, Shop Rite. Whoop whoop!

Most likely and hopefully this is a fluke...when I first started using coupons a cashier there told me they don't accept them so I was mad(didn't show it), and e-mailed them after I left the store and a mgr called me the next day and told me that I was welcome to use my IP's and that if I ever had any problems to ask for him. Sounds like cashiers are making up their own rules again...then why did the mgr asked her to run them? So why, are we all printing the kraft coupons? I don't want to be wasting my resources!!

I have never had a problem with my Publix. I used about $15 of the "Publix Retailer IPs" yesterday. It would be absolutely stupid for them to have an IP promotion going for JUST Publix and then decide that they were not going to take those very coupons. I would never take a cashier's word for the coupon policy. Publix and CVS are the most reasonable in my area and I hope it stays that way!!
