| Help! Does your Meijer accept manuf Q's along with Mealbox Q's?
Lately I've been using self checkout (no limit) at Meijer so that I can use my manuf Q's and Meijer Mealbox Q's together. For some reason many of the cashiers think we can't use both which is frustrating for me... Needless to say, it's not much fun to go through self checkout with all my groceries... especially when the scanner is constantly malfunctioning. What do you do??

I share your frustrations! But, I keep on doing the self-scan because I want to keep a close eye on my transaction. Every cashier I've had sees my big stack of coupons and just scans all of them since she knows she'll be getting called back anyways! I just hope the people in line behind me don't mind too much. ![]() They have never refused to take my manfQ and mealbox Q , though. Good luck!

No problems here taking both. My only concern now is that the registers at my Meijer is not recognizing different MB qs. I used 3 different MB qs for 3 different products in one big grocery transaction last Saturday, and only one came off. I've never had this problem before with different MB qs. As long they are all different, they will all come off. I do know the cashier scanned everything, and I heard the beep of the qs (was watching very closely cause they sometimes miss some qs.) Now, I have to go back, and talk to CS about getting my $2 back.

Mine used to NOT accept both when the coupons used to say "not to be used with any other discounts" but now that they say "not to be use with any other MEIJER Manufacturer coupon" they let me. For example, you could not use the Meijer coupons from the frozen food sale in the paper PLUS the Mealbox coupons - both "Meijer", but I could a REGULAR manufacturer coupon.

It does disappoint me now, though, that most of them make you buy 2 or 3 of something - not so much free anymore!

I can use manufacturer's qs with the mealbox qs - no problems at my stores. However, you must watch the mealbox qs at every transaction. The $1.00/2 Bertolli mealbox q does not come off (at least is happened to me twice this week). The clerk scanned it (since all mealbox qs need approval) - it beeped - and it still didn't deduct the buck off. |

This happened to me also - my Mealbox Q's beeped with no savings off total. She had to key them all in. She was nice about it, but can see that it could have been a big problem. Watch!

Mine take both. It does get annoying that you have to have an override for each one.

I just enter the bar code at the bottom of the MB Qs, like you would do for a produce item, and then have the cashier come over at the end and accept them all at the same time. Makes things a little quicker and I don't have to worry about the scanner not wanting to scan them right!

Hi, everyone, If I'm not mistaken, I thought there was a sticky in the Meijer forum with their exact coupon policy that says they will take both together. HTH!

I scanned the second coupon and immediately realized why it beeped. I told her exacly what happened and I still got the evil look as if I were trying to pull a quick one. |

At our store they let you use both, although I've never asked specifically if we can... I just do it and I've never had anyone say "you can't" The other day I had a girl that was training and had some one training along side her. She told her to ring everything in BY HAND to not scan anything cause everything "beeps" as she said. I have never had anyone else do it this way but if that's the way they're training ppl I'll have to really watch what they do. The thing I don't like about MBQ's is that that they "bump" the discount UP to the item so you can't see it readily at the bottom when they scan them. Twice I've gotten out of the store to realize that something did not come off even though I thought it did when I was standing there. uggh, but we have a pretty decent customer service counter and they have always made things right and taken my word for it which is appreciated since at other stores it can be a headache. |

Same question from me too. This sounds like the way to minimize the embarrassing red flashing light that comes up for all my MM Q's. I've asked a number of different M's Employees why their Q's cause the most problems but they just give me "the look"....
