Hey Guys,

Some of you might know, some might not. Petunia Pal is my mom. She fell on friday night pretty bad. She refused to go to the hospital that night and the next day when my dad was gone to work she had to call an ambulance because she was having chest pain. The paramedics got there and her BP was 188/100 so they rushed her straight to the Heart Hospital and by-passed our local hospital. She was also in extreme pain with her back.

Anyway, they have been doing tests for pretty much 2 days. And she has a crushed L2 and possibly a fragment pressing on her spinal cord. We are waiting for a consult from the surgeon.

Can you send prayers her way, please?

Ok, well the surgeon said they are going to put her on some medication that helps the bone repair. She is on strict bed rest and has to stay in the hospital till she can roll over in bed on her own. Prayers are working! Thank you!! I think they are trying to avoid surgery actually!

Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I'm home from hosp. now with strict bedrest for 4 more weeks. Don't know if surgery will be necessary till then. Dr. wants to see how much healing occurs naturally.

DH is trying to learn how to coupon in my down time. I'm so proud of him. He had my binder at work with him the other day, trying to make a shopping list of things to pick on his way home from work. Bless his heart.

I hadn't thought of that, but that's a good reason for DH to keep up with the coupon stuff, in in case I can't for some reason...
