I've heard mixed reports on this one but can you bring a small cooler into disney? I'm talking small like would fit in a book bag type cooler.

We went to Disney in September and yes, we took a small cooler into every park (the major 4 - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom). It was actually a medium sized cooler that had a strap. I put our lunches, drinks, and snacks in it. They checked it at the security area but never told me we couldn't take it. I read online that the parks do allow you to bring outside food (new as of 2008 or something like that). You should be fine. I do remember reading that no glass bottles are allowed though. HTH.

Yes, we always bring our medium size zip cooler and fit it in the bottom of stroller, nobody has ever messed with ours. I also bring extra juice & gatorade to replinish the cooler once it gets low. Also, their food is so expensive and not the greatest either, started buying the Chef bor a d mac-n-cheese bowls and the ravioli bowls to eat and just toss out after we ate them they taste good room temp too. and of course skittles (our favorite candy) and we also put the go-gurts into the cooler for a yummy cold snack and treat! Just dont bring any glass bottles!

We stopped and asked at the entrance and were told you are allowed to take coolers into the park. The only restrictions are glass containers. We pack snacks and sandwhiches into the cooler, frozen juice boxes and capri suns work well to keep the food cold. We also found several of the restaurants have filtered water taps to refill water bottles. So we each start out with 1 bottle for the day, we take in the crystal light singles or kool aid singles for the kids and refill our bottles through out the day. |

The rule last time I was there was that it had to be a "soft sided" cooler or a small hard sided cooler. We've had no trouble taking in a soft sided 8 pack cooler with a handle. And no glass (except for baby food)

And also, if you're child needs a straw to drink out of a cup, bring it with you to AK. They have no straws there for the animals safety and no lids either. We always bring a plastic cup with a straw with us.
