Ok I just figured this deal out.. The Pantene is 2/$7 get $2 ECB back..
I plan to use 2 $1 coupons. can I also use the coupon from Sunday's paper( tomorrow ) for free styling product when you purchase a Pantene shampoo and conditioner and if I purchase 2 shampoo's and 2 conditioner's and use 2 free coupons will I get the third ECB for the styling product??? Help My Head is spinning.

the deal is like this:

4- pantene @ 2/$7= $14
minus 2- bogo= $7
get $4 ecbs ($2 ecbs for each set)
works out to about 75¢ each
using the $1 coupons is ymmv. I know my stores around here won't take a bogo and a dollar off coupon.
it would be a better deal if you can use them.

the limit is 5. so you can get up to 10 items and get ecbs. but you only get $2 ecbs for each 2 products.

it's an ok deal as a filler or if you really like pantene.

If the styling products are included with the ecb deal, yes you will.

I tried this tonight and it didn't work. I bought 3 items, 2 of the new shampoo/conditioners and one hair spray, I used 2 $1 pantene coupons and the Pantene free styler coupon, it beeped and the cashier tried putting in $3.50 and it told the cashier it exceeded the limit.

Also the wording on the coupon states Free styler wyb shampoo AND conditioner, not shampoo OR conditioner

I'm not sure if it would work, if you wanted to buy the 6 products it would still be $12, getting back 6 ECB so $6 for it all if you really like Pantene I guess that is okay.

I'm thinking maybe it doesn't work because you are already using a $1 coupon the shampoo or conditioner, therefore you can't use the Pantene styler free wyb the other two items, you already used a coupon on one of those items.

Did you buy only 2 shampoo's?? I know the coupon says buy one shampoo and conditioner... that is why I was planning on buying 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners to use with 2 of the free styling product coupons. I wonder what limit is exceeded?? It might depend on your manager. Cheryl

I bought 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner and 1 hairspray. I used 2 of the $1 coupons for that new pantene, forget what it's called. So.......

1 shampoo
1 conditioner
1 hairspray

Total $10.50
$1 Pantene
$1 Pantene
$1 CVS coupon (scans for $2)
$3.50 Free styler

The styler coupon was pushed through, but I did the same thing at 2 stores, both times the styler would not go through, thankfully it was pushed through.
So I got 3 items for $3 then got $2 back so in essence 3 items for $1. I'll go tomorrow and buy 1 shampoo, use the $1 cvs *really $2* and a $1 MFR and pay 50 cents for a bottle and get $2 back so this turns into a whopping 50 cent money maker

If you buy two shampoo, two styler, two conditioner, it should ring up $21.00 (plus tax in Pennsylvania). Then if you have $4 off on 20 - you can use that - Minus $7.00 in free coupons, Minus 4 $1.00 coupons on one (if you have those) - should come to $6.00 - then you should get $6 back ECB.

You guys are committing coupon fraud. It is superstacking. The reason the coupons are beeping is because you have already used a coupon on the shampoo and/or conditioner so you can't use the free styler coupon on both.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't the free styler coupon be a coupon towards the styler leaving the shampoo and conditioner coupon free so you could use a coupon on each one? Wouldn't this senerio be like the Glade deal a month or so ago when we could use a buy 2 refills get 1 free along with 2 1/1 coupons? I could see using the free styler coupon in addition to a $ off styler coupon, but this isn't what is being used. I hope this makes sense.

eeyore55107 is correct but my Math on my scenario is a little off as I have a coupons for $1 off on (2) shampoo and/or conditioners so I need to use two $1 coupons in stead of four. I'll need to buy 2 shampoo, 2 conditioners, and 2 styler producs to pay about $.50 each.

also, I thought superstacking was using 2 or more x off xx coupons on one transactions. This is using a coupon for each product that you buy; which I have been doing for years.

I bought a conditioner and shampoo used a $1 off each pantene product and tried to use the free styler product coupon when you buy a shampoo and conditioner. The coupon beeped and the cashier/manager is really nice and asked me what I wanted to do, I just took it back. Don't know if I will use these coupons( I've 6 of them to spend) if you can't combine it with other coupons. Cheryl

I agree w/ you Sierra. The Q is for the customer to BUY a shampoo and conditioner and in return recieve a styler for free. Using additional Q's on the shampoo and conditioner has to be superstacking and fraud. You can't use more than one Q on a product.

Um - doesn't the FREE STYLER coupon beep because it is not for a set price? The beep actually alerts the cashier to manually enter the sale price of the Styler. This has been my experience in the past anyway.

I am really not sure either way if it is Superstacking though. It really is a thin line there. I can see both sides actually.

At my cvs they have always allowed me to use 2 q's on BOGO so I don't see any difference. If you are buying one item to get one free and use a q for the one you are buying that is allowed what is the difference in buying two items to get one free and using q's for the ones you are buying. I am going to try this tomorrow and see if it works. I am going to buy 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, 2 stylers to get the 6 ECB's.

I think that it exceeded the limit because of only purchasing three items. Because one of your coupons says u must buy two items and then the other two coupons were for one item each, then the register "assumed" you needed to have four items total. The other could have been a filler and it probably would not have beeped.

I did this the other day. I dont see it as superstacking coupons b/c i am buying other products even though I used a q on them, and the other coupon is for a styler not for the pantene shampoo and conditioner that I used a q on (if that makes sense it makes sense to me just dont know if I explained it right). The manager had to come and do something to put the price in, and it took it.
