What do you make with Chuck Steak?

I have some left from the last sale and I have no idea what to do with it. It's tough, right? We're not a soup/stew family, so I can't think of what else to do with it, help!

I'm wishin'/hopin' for a cube steak sale.

Currently in the pot browning is chuck steak about to be turned into stroganoff (easy campbell's recipe) We also just grill them sometimes with seasonings and eat them like steak. They're pretty good. You could also do stews, fajitas, crock pot it or maranade it. It's a pretty versitile cut of meat. We are really enjoying the sales!

I throw mine in the crockpot with a cut up onion, a packet of powder beef gravy mix, and a packet of onion soup mix... I throw in a little bit of water and let cook all day. The size of the ones I get from Target, I usually do 2 of them at a time. I let them cook all day, and then serve with rice/potatoes, and a vegetable.

Bake in the oven like roast. It has a really good taste. If I get a lot of it, I will grind it up for hamburger.

We slice the london broil up thin- saute it in butter (2T or so) some garlic and onion. Add some steak seasoning and a bit meat tenderizer- serve it on warm french rolls (long bun ones) with some melted mozz on top. SO good!

No chuck at my Target but they has stew meat for $2.19/pound. I picked up 4 packs for about $1.00 out of pocket. I like the fajita idea.

I have never used chuck steak. Hope I can find some stew meat on sale too!!! Will have to check Target out. I need to stock up on some meat. We are very low!

Chuck steak is tough but if you prep it the right way, its good!

I went to ST last week for top round but had to settle for chuck.

We made this on Sunday:

I scaled back on the vinegar a bit and did not brush the marinade on the meat while on the grill. It really came out nice and tender.

I also use chuck to make steak pie.

I prep mine in a pie dish with pastry on the top and bottom. I add carrots, greenbeans and onion soup mix. DELISH!

I bought some chuck last week, floured and browned it, took two cans of rotel/jalapeno tomatoes and baked it and rolled in to flour tortillas!!
