Good deals for the week of 3/1-3/7?

I have a short amount of time to shop this week as I am working more and we are leaving on Friday for Illinois - so I need to get going on my shopping lists!

Here are some things I found, please feel free to add more!

First pound free of grapes coupon! I always get these as my kids love grapes.
50% off Lean Cuisine entrees (although I think they have a deal on these at Rainbow this week as well and I might need those to get to my $25 there).

$5 meats:
2.5 lb pkg Pilgrim's Pride Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts indiv quick frozen
1 lb pkg Hormel Always Tender Fresh Ground Pork
3 lb chub Jennie-O fresh 85% lean ground turkey
1.7 lb pkg Hormel Always Tender Boneless Seasoned Pork Loin Fillets
2 lb chub fresh 93% lean ground beef
$5/lb fresh mountain stream tilapia fillets, farm raised
$5/lb fresh catfish fillets, farm raised
$5/lb fresh Atlantic salmon fillets, ocean raised farmed, family value pack

50% off Old Dutch Crunch potato chips
48 cent Cub macaroni and cheese (good for donating to food banks!)
BOGO 3 lb bags of red delicious or granny smith apples (this is a coupon)

If you have the local paper q (I do not) for the buy $50 get $10 oyno (I think that is what it is) you could probably find some good deals to make the P&G/Pepsico deal work where you get a $5 oyno if you buy $20 worth of those products. There were a FEW decent deals - like Pasta/Rice-a-Roni that are $10/10 and Pringles that are $10/10 but otherwise the deals didn't look that great to me.

BOGO Sara Lee Wide Pan bread

If you need cereal or (giggle) fruit snacks - Kellogg's are a good price this week - $1.67. Pop Tarts are that price as well - and there is a $1.00/2 coupon out there for those (I just used mine at Target last night in conjunction with the Target $1.00/2 and this would have actually been a slightly better deal!).

$10/10 Kellogg's cereal cups - not sure if that's a good deal or not.

I saw nothing about the $10/$50 promotion - so if anyone has an extra, PM me if you want to trade! With the meat deals, Lean Cuisine and Pepsico/P&G deals I could stock up and get to $50 before coupons. If not, I probably won't be buying a whole lot at Cub this week unless one of you has a better eye and comes up with some good deals!

I'm copying from a later post so that everything is together:

This is the buy $20 worth, get a $5 oyno:

2/$8 Aquafina water 24 packs .5 liter bottles
2/$10 Gatorade Widemouth 8 packs 20 oz btl
2/$6 Quaker Life or Cap'n Crunch Cereal (varieties shown) 12/07 and 1/04 RP $1.00/2 life cereal. Search database for mags that have $1/1 maple and brown sugar.
$3.98 Tostitos or Ruffles Family size 14-18 oz bag
10/$10 Rice a Roni or Pasta Roni 3.9-7.2 oz pkg 1/04 RP $1/4
2/$9 Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice 89 oz jug (WHEN did they start doing 89 oz jugs? What a weird size! There are no qs because the only ones out there are for 64 oz.)
10/$10 Pringles Potato Crisps 5.125- 6 oz canister 12/14 and 1/25 RP or 2/08 PG .30/2
2/$5 Quaker Chewy Granola Bars or Rice Snacks (4.2-10 oz granola bars or 6.6-7.04 oz Rice Snacks) granola - 11/16 SS and 1/04 RP $1/2. Rice snacks 1/18 RP $1/1
$9.98 Bounty giant roll = 8 roll pkg (which = 12 regular rolls) 12/18, 1/18, 2/08 and 3/01 PG - .25/1
$19.99 Pampers Big Pack Diapers (Cruisers or Baby Dry) 12/28 Parade magazine, 10/12, 2/08 and 3/01 PG - $1/1

$6.98 Charmin Ultra 6 mega rolls or 12 big rolls 11/30, 12/28, 2/08 and 3/01 PG - .25/1
$4.99 Crest Pro-Health Rinse 1 ltr bottle 11/30, 2/08 and 3/01 PG .75 or $1/1 There was a mailer for both rinse and toothpaste that some of you may have gotten as well. 12/4
$4.99 Dawn Dishwashing Detergent 22-28 oz btl 12/14 PG .50/1 or 12/28 PG .25/1
$5.49 Downy or Bounce fabric softener 48-60 load Downy or 120 use Bounce Downy - 12/14 PG - $1/1, 2/08 PG - .25/1, 12/28 PG - .50/1

I picked up a couple things this morning.

Rice A Roni-10/$10. I have 2 q's for $1.00 off 4 and then I had a q from the Festival ad a ways back for $5.00 off fresh meat when you buy 8 Rice A Roni. I put the $5.00 towards the pork lion.

I picked up 2 bags of the Pilgrims Pride chicken breasts as well. There was a q in the 1/25 SS for .75 off. I think 4.25 is a good price.

I wanted to pick up some Ken's dressing as well. I still have a couple frees left. I found a free coupon on the shelf. Its too bad that person didn't realize they could still use it!

Assorted Kelloggs cereals are 1.67 (smaller box). I had a bunch of 1.00/any Kelloggs that were expired so I picked up 4 or so boxes. Also, pop tarts are 1.67 and there were a bunch with 1.00 q's so I grabbed 8 boxes of those. My kids love these and .67 isn't a bad price.

Picked up the grapes as well. Festival Foods is also running the first pound free this week, if that is closer for anyone. I have both Cub and Festival about a mile away so I will be stocking up on grapes this week.

You can use the $1 hormel always tender coupon on the hormel ground pork. If they are $1 each then it is free.

I only looked at the ad once, but I thought the ground pork was sold in 1 lb packages, so if that is right, it would be free with $1/1 coupon. Great for meatballs.

The Hormel ground pork, you do not have to buy 5. They are just marked $1 per roll, kind of like Rainbows $10/10. So FREE pork!!

The top right hand corner of the ad is different for the Pioneer Press and Star Tribune. The St Paul paper says, "Spend $50 this week, get a coupon for $10 off your next $50 purchase! Spend $50 this week through March 7, get a coupon good for $10 off your next $50 purchase through March 17! Coupon generated at checkout."

This is not a coupon that you need to clip, but a promotion during this week. I'm not sure if it is before or after coupons. Usually their deals are before coupons, but the holiday bucks catalina was after coupons.

It must be a regional thing because my Pioneer Press Cub ad does not have that. I am in the SW burbs and I bought the Pioneer Press in Savage (early Sunday edition) and Jordan (Sunday edition). Neither had this - I looked in ALL of the ones I had purchase. But, if that's the case - I will need to get up to $50 somehow! If anyone goes before me in the SW burbs - please post here! I won't get there until Wednesday for sure and I really don't want to spend $50 if I'm not going to get the catalina!

I am going to do this too! Did you get your total to $25? I found enough coupons to get me to $25 (with those two of course) Where it ends up being very little oop. I wish I would have gathered more of those Festival coupons!

Here is a copy of the add (left of page) with the $50/$10 information, look in the upper right hand corner, in a green text box.....

TullieDuck has posted more than 10 good deals
Cub Food $10/$50 purchase

My ad doesn't have the green text box like the one in the link below. Anyone know if I will still get $10 even it's not in our ad?
Thanks

Check out the March 1st thread this quote is from the March 1st flyer thread where someone did bring in a flyer to a CUB without the advertised catalina and went to Customer Service and they did honor the add.....

QUOTE=silly lily;1483651]I receive the Buffalo Cub ad from the local Drummer and also the metro area Cub ad from the Star Trib. I receive the Drummer ad first so that's the one I use. I stopped off at the Plymouth Cub last night and expected a $10 Catalina. Didn't get it. I had the ad in my car so I took it in and talked to the person at the service counter. He very nicely explained that it was a Buffalo ad and if you look at the lower left hand corner of the front page there is a code: MN-Buf is for Buffalo and MN-TC is for the metro area stores. The out of Metro area stores are franchised owned and can choose different promotions. He said they were happy to honor it and he gave me $10 cash.

I guess for we people who are on the border of the TC area, we sometimes will get different promotions from Cub and can have more opportunities to save.

Both the cashier and service person were exceptionally gracious about this.[/quote]

So, I just got back from Cub,my total before q's was $54.39, after q's was $34.56, and the CAT did not print, so I went to customer service, and asked if the total should be 50 before, or after q's. She said it should be before, but she really didn't know, she was going to find out, but after waiting 5 mins. or so , I had to go, either way, she handed me a CAT for $10 OYNO, but I really didn't get my question answered. So, if anyone knows, plz. post!! TY!

Nikiz, this was my post in the other thread about the flyer:

"Yep, went today!! I am Loving Cub lately! My total was 56.83. After 19.24 in coupons and $30 OYNO coupons that I had from the betty crocker deal, I ended up putting 7.59 on a gift card that I got for filling a prescription!!

AND I got the $10 OYNO for spending $50, AND I got a $5 OYNO coupon for getting 20 boxes of pasta roni! =) I LOVE Cub!!

This was at the Rogers location."

So it is $50 before q's and it should have printed for you. and the coupon is able to roll, there is no restictions except for this prohibited by law....
