Our store has a large M&M filled with $0.50 bags. I usually use those as fillers. It's a great way to bribe my kids to behave while I'm reworking my scenarios if they're out of something I'd planned to purchase.

2 pack of barrettes by the cosmetic counters are .20 a package. Great filler.

I found the Real Soft tp for .25 too and the Deerfield Farms Golden Snack Crackers for .25 , I'm glad because I can't handle any more barrettes or Ramen

when I went WAGS tonight to get the Almonds..bogo i got 2 wanted to use 2 RR's totaling $3 they wouldn't let me do it. they said I can only use 1 RR I argued with the manager and the cashier over this because I had used 2 together the day before. First she said it was corporate decission then in a few breathes later told me it was a manager decission. I told her to keep them. I will go back tomorrow and try it again with different people in the store. So my question is...is bogo considered only one item or 2? I had 2 cans of almonds so i would think...2 items....

If it's a WAGS BOGO sale, then it's considered 2 items and you should be allowed to use 2 RRs.
(In your case, it's a WAGS BOGO sale for the week of 6/7/09, so you were correct, and the manager is not.)

If you're using a BOGO MQ, then you're only allowed to use 1 RR.

I am new, I dont understand the fillers Are you only suppose to use a certain amount of qs? THen have to buy something w/o a qs? I am not sure how this works?

WAGS allows you to use the same amount (or less) MQ for the number of items you buy. For example, if you're buying 5 items and you have a MQ for each item, then you're unable to use an RR in addition to the 5 MQ because the RR is also considered an MQ. In order for you to use your RR (i.e. MQ #6), you'd need to buy one more item to bump up your item count to 6 also. So, the filler is usually something cheap that we use to allow us to use one or more RRs.

I've been filling with barrettes, head bands, and hair elastics. Many of them are on clearance at the 4 Walgreens I shop at for .20--perfect for a filler.

My Wags has a clearance basket of superglue for .04! I have "filled" my transaction with them so many times I have like 30 of them at home!

I found a huge basket of cosmetics at one of my Walgreens stores... tons of lipsticks, lipglosses, eyeshadow, mascaras, nail polish. They were reducing prices on them to $0.25 each. I got a twin pack of CoverGirl Lipglosses for $0.25. There were Jane, Cover Girl, etc. Makeup. These are my new favorite fillers... Will be going back for more tomorrow.

I found some WAGS tape on clearance for $0.22 along with WAGS envelopes for $0.75 a box. They also had a ton of their dollar stuff on clearance. I got this cute stapler set (staples, mini stapler, and mini staple remover) for $0.25! I got it for my DD she has been wanting one forever. She loves art and will sit and draw tons of her own books so now she can bind them herself!

I am glad I found these I am sick of getting candy as fillers.

My WAGS also had Nips on sale for $0.80 a box and they are yummy and low in calories too! So that would be a nice filler.

I was 'new' just a few months ago so had to learn everything too. With Walgreens, their computer/cash register is set up that you are not allowed to use more coupons for the # of items that you are buying. For example, if you buy 4 rolls of toilet paper and you have 4 tp coupons, then you cannot use a Register Reward coupon too. You would add a "filler" to your 4 rolls of toilet paper so that you have 5 items. THEN, you can use all 4 tp coupons and your Register Reward (RR).

Just a note: you can use several RR in one transaction if you have the same # of items as # of coupons. And from what I'm hearing, a coupon that says for example $1.00/2 boxes, then the 1 coupon actually counts as 2 coupons.

What I always do is count my coupons and my items to make sure they match up in quantity. If I need a 'filler' (a cheap item) then I look in the clearance section, look for tags that say reduced or clearance throughout the store, hit the stationary area for a pencil or something like that.
