Stopped on my way home last nite to do two transactions. The cashier was a young (very young) friendly, polite ect. Also very new!

I told him that the front of my cart goes first, then we will do the back. He's great with that! This store does not have the belt to put your own stuff on, still roll the cart up to the checker!

So my first order and my second are almost identical, soft soap was on the 2nd one. He rings up the first order very fast, takes the Q's. Oops $4.94. Hmmm thats not right, but I will mess with that tomorrow. Pay him, he gives me the 3.50 cat for BC fruit.

Second order oops $1.25 he hands me my cats I leave.

Looking at the receipt now. First order he only rung up 9 daytona items. I had 10. so the 3.00 did not come off.

Second order he only rung up 8 daytona items. The 3.00 did come off but the cat was for 2.50 BC fruit since he only rung up 4 BC and 2 ragu.

It will come off at 8 items but not 9?? Was this a freak thing? I may go back today and buy 8 more items to see if it comes off again. Will let you know.

I did go back and try it again. Did not work. So I just had him add 2 things, then it worked. I have no idea what happened the first time!

I had this happen to. I bought:
5 Multi Grain Cheerios
2 Trix
8 Ragu Sauce
Usually the Daytona Deal is taken off first, but on this receipt it's last. At first I thought the trix were part of the deal, but I didn't see it in the ad or any signs anywhere. So I'm not sure what happened.

I've had a deal for $ off for x items purchase work over 2 transactions. It was a while back when Breyer's were part of a deal with limit of 4. When I hit the 4 Breyer's it charged full price. I told the guy I wasn't going to get them and left them on the belt. After I paid, I offered to buy the additional 2 Breyer's in a separate transaction so they wouldn't have to put it back. He rang up the 2 and it triggered the $ off deal. So, I figured out that the card tracked the number of items spent to get the deal (like CVS for ECBs). He was just as shocked as I was when I paid $1.xx for 2 1/2 gallons of Breyers.

Long story short, it looks like the missing item was fulfilled during the second transaction.
