Here are some details about Jewel's new Gas Rewards program:

Hmmm. I tried this after I finished my shopping at Jewel, no discount!! I must have done something wrong!?!

My Jewel receipt said I earned .18 off.

Went to Jewel express, followed the instructions, and nothing happened!! I should have gone in to find out why, but had to get home....do you think it was because I went too soon after my shopping trip? Any ideas?

I will be calling customer service to see if they know why.

I'd love to know what you find out...... I'd also read somewhere that the rewards don't seem to accumulate from one day to the next.... maybe I just don't understand what the receipt is telling me.... idk..........

I called CS and they told me that it was because I used the wrong preferred number. My preferred card has one number on it, and my receipt has another number on it.

So then I requested a card with the correct number, and now i have a 3rd number!!! Arghhhh!!

Very confusing...so really no answer...

How does this work?

Have my last four transactions accumulated or do I wipe out my reward everytime I purchase something? I haven't bought any gas since this started, but I'm not sure if I should buy gas in a few weeks or after each Jewel purchase.

Check the bottom of your reciept. It will show you how much you have accumulated and it goes off the total value of the products you purchased NOT the total amount you paid. I only spent $32.XX on groceries and I had accumulated $180.00 toward my gas rewards on my last shopping trip

when you go to the gas station it asked me for payment so i used my debit then it asks if you will scan your jewel card i did.. then on the screen it asks if you want to use your discount mine was only .12 but hey! then you press either yes or no and THEN gas up

if you pay with cash then i believe you have to bring your jewel card in when you pay and the cashier is supposed to ask if you want to use the cents off and she will do it at her computer/register..... if you go out and dont see the price change on the pump buttons run in and ask but it usually does it right

i after that gas up got another one with .21 cents i dont go right after each trip to the store as it will accumulate ( i sure didnt pay $210.00 in one trip thats for sure )! best thing about it is it accumulates the amount BEFORE coupons bring it down ( otherwise i would get like .01!!!!!
it was really nice seeing the price go from $1.94 down to $1.73

I've been trying to figure this out also....... every receipt seems to start from scratch, one or two cents off every day, but I haven't gotten any receipts that showed me an accumulated total --- I think they are supposed to accumulate, right?

Did you know in advance that your discount was 12 cents and if, so, how??? I'm confused............

I am confused too!

The flyer states that if you buy UNDER 15 gallons the rewards reset to zero. am I reading this right? If that's the case, if you buy 15 gal. you get to keep the rewards and they keep accumulating?!? I think I will contact them at lunchtime...

My receipts look like they have been recalculated everytime, just like you said...one or two cents off every shopping trip. If anyone figures this out please post, because I would prefer to wait a few weeks and then fill-up.

my reciepts say CONGRAtULATIONS y6ou have earned $0.12 off per gallon UP TO 15 gallons then the expire date
i only use one card
and ive waited a few days after that reciept to get gas
and scan it like i said or go in and talk to the gas station cashier she will be able to help even if you pay with a card you can still do it inside so you know forsure its on there. she can give you a reciept for what you want .. say you want $20 on pump ? on the reciept it SHOULD sow how much per gallon
if its not cents off the posted price say HEY I WANT MY MONEY OFF NOW!! no im kidding LOL :P just let her fix it
after you use it * i only used like 12 gallons * it will reset back to 0 you have to make sure you dont go over 15 gallons though ( not sure it it auto stops ) cause you wont get the cents off since its UP TO 15 gallons only

OH!!!! also if you do it at the pump it gives you the option wether you want to use the discount or not by pressing yes or no when it says this it will tell you how much you have available .. if you think its to low then press no..

i did notice that the second time i went when i thought i only had a few cents off it had said .21 off fainting aside i pressed yes

Just contacted customer service. Holy cow, I have .28 off per gallon!

They do accumulate until you buy gas. Once you buy your 15 gallons you start over.

You can get the current reward amount by contacting customer service at 877-932-7948.

Your receipt will not show the total amount you earned up to that point.

OK.......... this was making me crazy, so I just called the CS service number on the bottom of the receipt. I explained how I have all these receipts (though I'm sure I didn't even save them ALL - darn!) and how it shows the "Qualifying Purchase" amount for that day, ....... and how I should be at least around 12 cents for $120 worth of purchases..... AT LEAST! ... but my receipt only shows that I can get THREE CENTS off a gallon......... The nice CS lady said that people have been calling in with the same problem, but that yes, it does work for some...... she adjusted my savings/gallon amount and told me to call back if it doesn't start accumulating...... good to know that I'm not the only one.........

Looks like we were talking to CS at the same time LOL! Yeah, I don't get it ... it sounds like maradreams' receipt showed the savings/gallon amount on it..... and mine doesn't..... and it doesn't make any sense to have to call CS every time you want to know how much you're going to save......... some definite bugs that need to be worked out, I'd say!

if you really want to know go to the gas station and scan the card as if your going to use it or inside the station at the cashier it will tell you how much off you will recieve
like i said before, last time i went and thought there was only a few cents off it said .21 off... now i KNOW i didnt spend that much!!! if i had i wouldnt be able to afford the gas

Since it seems to have a glitch or two, I'm afraid if I scan it and then decide NOT to buy gas there because the savings aren't at an "acceptable" level to me yet, it might cancel those savings out or something as if I had really bought gas..... idk..... not to mention annoying to have to make another stop during a busy morning..... but I will keep it mind if I really want to know... thanks!

I don't know when this started, but I went tonight to try it out and saved $0.67 a gallon.

Doesn't that mean I spent $670??? Cause if $30 gets you $0.03 then $300 would get you $0.30 and so on.

How on earth did I spend $670?

Course I took my fifteen gallons (and my $10.05 in savings) and ran like a masked bandit.

WOW!!!!!!!! I believe it started a couple of weeks ago.... and it bases your gas rewards savings on pre-card prices, right?, so that's probably a big part of it if you shop the sales.....

Yes, the rewards are based upon the shelf price. When I compared my savings to my rewards they were pretty close.

So if you were doing the ConAgra deal over and over again, that's probably how you came up with that large of a discount!!
