In 1/25's SS there was a coupon for buy one Hershey's Milk Choc. Bar, Milk Choc with Almons or Special Dark (1.45 oz-1.55 oz) and get a Special Dark Bar (1.45 oz) for Free! Pair this with the Wags coupon on the back page of the 1/25 ad that states Buy one Hersheys Bar @ .89 get one free (1.4-2 oz) AND get both for Free!! I don't need anymore candy BUT free is free!! HTH! |

I will be getting FREE Reese's whipps though. I have coupons for $1 / 2. Their sale is buy one Hershey for .89 and get one free. It can go either way- free with overage or just free. I still like my odds depending on the cashier. |

My store is funny like that too - I can often get overage (if I work it right and get the right cashier) - but they won't take a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale. That sends up red flags right there - because they have to look back and see the price - and they see that you are already getting one free. I'm using all my Whipps coupons at CVS this week in order to get the $5 gift card. I have 11 of those and then $1/6 coupon from a Hershey's calendar I got a K-Mart around the holidays. If I had any left, I would go for the overage as well. If you have several qs, you could get just one extra - and probably still get it for close to free. For instance, if you had 7 qs for $1/2 - you could get 16 (I was going to say 15 - but heck, you need to get the other free one since it's a BOGO sale!) bars for $7.12. With the 7 $1 off qs - you pay .12 (plus tax) for 16 Reese's Whipps. Not bad, huh?

Yeah, I know. But I have had so many problems in the past - that I decided in order to keep good will with managers and cashiers that I just was not going to push it. For the most part, they are pretty good to me (now that I know which cashiers to avoid usually) so this is one battle I've chosen not to push. Most I'm willing to fight - but this is one I'm not. For some reason, I've just always felt guilty doing this particular kind of transaction (not sure why!) - so I just don't choose this battle. NOT saying that anyone else should feel guilty about it - it's just one of my little quirks!

Im just hoping my Wags (Im fairly certain from experience that a couple will do it ) will let me buy 16 at one time. If anything, I will go as soon as all my Wags open, then go back later on at night. (Shift change). I have 40 $1/2 coupons. So thats 80 FREE. (Im using 30 for a classroom prize). So I have a lot of traveling to do on sunday. Im dragging my husband so he can help at a few of them. Thanks for the math of the 16. I was just thinking about free or overage. Heck I'll pay .12 plus tax. .

I was able to do the Oust deal and get 6 free... BUT, when I went back there the following week the cashier that is my favorite told me she actually got in trouble for doing that transaction. I apologized and told her I wouldnt do a buy one get one free coupon on a b2g1 sale again. I felt so bad. Since then, I won't do it. I want to continue being in good terms with the cashiers and managers. Free candy bars aren't that important |

oh geez! we're swimming in chocolate here..just picked up something like 30 hersheys & dark with the bogo and food lion's sale..plus 2/$1.00 on the whipps at CVS and Krogers..and a passel of chocolate from every other free deal in the last 6 months..and misc smarties, pixie sticks, gummy bears and such for CVS $3 brand coupon..I've really got to stop..as first it was one candy drawer full, then drawer and shelf..now it's 2 drawers, 2 shelves and some tupperware..and tha'ts after heaving bagsfull at the scouts when they go on campouts... free always sounds good..but at some point I really do need to learn the word "no"... |

| Can you buy 3 items instead and get 2 free? Will your store do that? The bogo wont work for me unless the cashier manually enters it. The register removes one item and then when you go to use the bogo coupon, it doesnt have another item to remove. So I found when I do 3 items, the coupon doesnt beep. It isnt all free but still better than nothing.

I also choose to stay on the good side of the managers and clerks and not overuse the b1g1, by presenting b1g1 coupons. I just think it is too over the line of correct. It makes us look like scavengers. No name calling intended. It costs a lot of money to take out those dresses so STAY AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE! Just send it to my house! |

Applerama - You will fit into the dress and look great too! Sleepy - thanks for reminding me of the order again. For some reason, this just will NOT stick in my brain! And I do have $10 in RR from last week, so I have to remember to give that first. Woohoo - I don't think I'll be paying much oop this week.

I for one am a teacher and use the candy I get as incentives in my room and don't feel like I am a "Scavenger" for using coupons to save myself some money and bring joy to the children I teach. Each person should be able to purchase whatever they wish without feeling like someone is going to accuse the of crossing the line of coupon abuse if they post what they are buying or have bought. What is right in your conscience is what you should do. Some people may have a different opinion of right. |
