| Good deals for doubles - 1/18- 1/24?
I think I have a scenario worked out that might be good. I'm not sure how much General Mills Cereal is - I'm going to estimate at about $3.49 per box. Buy 6 boxes of cereal = 20.94 Use 3 $1/2 = $6.00 (if you double on Wednesdays) Get $10 off your order automatically at check-out. So, total price would be $4.94 for 6 boxes of cereal PLUS you get a coupon for one gallon of milk FREE (up to $4.00) AND you get 50 bonus box tops! If you don't save box tops for any kids, I'd be happy to take them off your hands (I'm the Box Tops Coordinator for our school!). The cereals themselves have box tops on them - but you are supposed to get a catalina-type coupon for 50 Bonus Box Tops. Buy 9 Pillsbury Grands biscuits - there are some qs out there for $1.00 each - making them FREE! Don't forget these have Box Tops on them too! I did 6 boxes of cereal and 9 biscuits because I wanted to get 15 items to qualify for the 50 bonus box tops. Even if you don't have $1.00 coupons to use, there are still lots of them out there for various amounts. For all of this, you would most likely spend less than $10 total, plus get a coupon for free milk. I thought that was pretty good!

I may just make it out there this week to doubles. I will more than likely be picking up the yogurt though as we go through 14 yogurts a week with the kids.

What do you all think about the Vikings sweepstakes they have going? I can't tell from the ad if I purchase 4 of the Kemps sour cream if I will get an entry? They are giving away $100 Rainbow gift cards PER STORE this week. I may stock up on sour cream if that's the case! Or the Kemps singles. I guess the Gatorade will work - I have to see if I have any qs for those! But, it's hard to tell from the ad if the Kemps products will get you an entry form. It looks like it to me, but it's in a different box. However, both boxes seem to be enclosed in the purple area that is talking about the entry form. Between Cub's issue with the fine print on their $5/$20 coupon and this - I'm getting a headache! BTW Karen, what yogurt? The Go-gurt? The Dannon is also a good deal this week - but my kids aren't big on chunky yogurt. The Go-gurt would be $1.25 each if you double a .75/2 coupon. There was a Dannon coupon (according to the database) in the 1/04 SS for 1.00/10. That would be a GREAT one to double - it would end up being $3.00 for 10 yogurts then! I love when you can double coupons like that because then you only need to use one of your five to double! I did think about doing the Go-Gurt. If I have room in my freezer by Wednesday for 2 more Go-Gurts, I may do that. But, it is pretty stocked from the $30/$15 deal at Cub 2 weeks ago!

The only two I see are the ones I mentioned - Go-Gurt, which is 2/$4 and there is a q for .75/2 which would double to $1.50 - making each Go-Gurt $1.25 each (4.00 - 1.50 = 2.50 divided by 2 = 1.25). This q came out of the 1/04 Smart Source as well - I believe it was the small insert that had mostly General Mills and Betty Crocker items in it. There is also a printable in the database that is $1.00/2 which makes the deal even sweeter - $1.00 each! The Dannon yogurt is the other kind - 10/$5.00. There is a $1.00 off coupon for 10 which would double to $2.00. Making 10 yogurt for $3.00. This q was out of the 1/04 Smart Source (not sure which one).

I would be buying the Go-gurt as that is what my kids eat. I have all my yogurts that I bought at Cub out in my garage. It will stay quite frozen out there until we need them.

i dont see much this week, so i think that i will be going for some nearly free Progresso broth ($2.49 with $1 Q doubled), some Yo Plus (around the same) and some yogurt for the kids (Yoplait kids-I have some $1 Q's) If you have any of the Pop Secret $1/2 Qs from that Pillsbury book, you can snag some free popcorn ($10/10 on sale)

I went to Rainbow today to take advantage of the double Qs. Unfortunately they were all out of the Grands biscuits. On a brighter note, I was craving Top the Tater (which I haven't had in a LONG time) and it was on sale for $1.00!

I know it's late in the day - but I found some good deals today.... Wholly (like the Guacamole, but) Salsa was on sale for $2.00 and there is a $1/1 coupon (it's in the produce area). Sunkist, Vernors, A&W, 7up, Tahitian Treat, Diet Rite, RC and Country Time 12 pks were on sale for $3.47 (not great). There were some $1/2 peelies and if you buy 4, there is a Roundy's rebate for $5 back. So,if you can get the doubles on the $1/2 peelies, it comes out to $1.22 a pack! |

I am debating about going out there. I need a little more motivation, I guess.

Mine was out of Grands biscuits as well. I did get a raincheck though - so I can still use my coupons next week when I go on Wednesday. By the way - the Kemps products DO give you the entry form for the sweepstakes. So, buy 4 and get the entry form. I needed sour cream anyway and $1.00 per is pretty decent!

You know, I almost didn't. I had never gotten a raincheck before and the cashier wasn't terribly thrilled about giving me one. I kept trying to show her where they were in the ad and she kept telling me she could find it. Finally, she asked me where it was and I showed her - on the back page. It was in the middle too - but it was easiest to find on the back page with the 10/$10 items. We live pretty far away from Rainbow (it's about 18 miles one way) - so I figured I'd better get it while I can because I knew I would most likely not get back in that area for the rest of the week!
