I was going to say the same thing, I don't think you can use the quaker SS coupons along with the manu coupon in their ad.

So on another board they are saying you CAN use the store manu coupon along with insert coupons because the store manu coupon is off your total order and not the actual products. Is this true?

There was a Beggin Strips coupon from a while ago that expires 2/16 for 3/3. Buy 6 packages for 15.00 Take off 3 BOGO 7.50 Take off 3.00 for the remaining 3 packages = 4.50 or .75 per package. These coupons wouldn't double but it would get you to the 25.00 pretty quick.

Holy cow! I wish I had those Beggin Strips Qs, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, I lost my Q book about a month ago, and I have had to build them back up again. My dog goes crazy for these treats I think the Quaker $3 off is YMMV, or so I am hearing regarding the cub one. What I hear is because it is $3 off your grocery order if you buy 5, that is the loop hole. I will have to see what happens Wed. Even if it doesn't work, still not a horrible price |

I've not tried this at Rainbow, but I've not had a problem at Cub. Cub does this type of thing frequently - where you get so much off your order if you purchase so many items. I have often used man qs in conjunction with those offers and not had an issue in the past or this week either. I had never thought about it before, but for some reason this week it stuck out to me and I started to. But, then I remembered that I've done it many times in the past (on the advice of another couponing site I paid to be a part of) and never had a problem. I didn't realize Rainbow was doing this same deal! I may have to save some of my Quaker qs and go do doubles on Wednesday - if I can find enough to buy there in order to get to $25! And I do have a $25 gift card that I probably should use!

I assume you are getting 4 of the Beggin strips because your q is for $1/4? That equals $10. Two Aunt Jemimas = $4. 4 Quaker Chew bars = $8 4 Campbell soups = $1.92 $10 + $4 + $8 + $1.92 = $23.92 But, I ASSUMED (and you know what THAT means!). So, how did you come up to $25? I need to come up with some scenarios myself. I don't have a dog - so no beggin strips. But the other ones I might be able to use!

Does anyone think only a few of the items on the ad page are 5/10? There is a line under the Chewy bars, Life, Oatmeal Squares, and Crunch Berries, and the ad says "5/10 on select Quaker Items", then there is a lot of stuff under the line with no prices, just savings. Maybe it's all 5/10... I don't go there unless it's Wednesday, and even then it's not too often. Anyone been there this week already and can verify that all of the advertised items on the page are $2? UPDATE: The Rainbow web site has it more clearly spelled out- yes, ALL of the items listed are $2 each. |

To get to the 25.00 without spending extra money you could use the free dressing coupon in the ss insert.

This week Cub and Rainbow have very simular in ad coupons for Quaker. The Cub coupon is off your order, but the Rainbow coupon is just a $3 off 5 Quaker MF. It's a no go with putting together the Rainbow in ad and insert MF. Sorry to burst your bubble. |

Rats. I hadn't looked at the actual coupon - well, I guess I'll just do the deal at Cub then! It's still a great deal - but not as great as doubles. Well, you win some you lose some!

I think I'll probably head to Rainbow tomorrow to take advantage of my $1.00 Quaker coupons (and double 5 of them) and skip the one in the ad. Thanks for the heads up! |

I don't have any $1.00 ones anymore. I guess I could use my .70 coupons I have left - if I can get my behind out in this absolutely frigid temperature!

They have $1.00 tearpads right by the oatmeal in the Savage location! They are only off the weight-control, low sugar and high fiber ones - but it's a GREAT deal. Take 8 of the coupons (they had TONS) and you get 8 boxes for $3.00! You only need to buy 8 to get the coupons to double - don't ask me why! Anyway, the first five coupons double. So, the original total is $16.00. Take off $10.00 for the first 5 $1 coupons that double. Then the other 3 $1 coupons come off - and it is $3.00. WOOHOO! I got 25 boxes (accidentally got an extra one, but figured it was still a good deal! I did not clear the shelves by the way. There were lots of lower sugar maple & brown sugar - as well as the weight-control. There were still some high-fiber left as well, but there wasn't much to start with. I got some regular ones as well, since I had coupons for those too. Hope some of you can still get there!

I wonder if you were there the same time as my husband! Great deal!!! I have to tell him to start snatching up tearpad coupons when he's shopping. Oh, and they said it was okay to use the $3 off coupon from the ad along with the other coupons we used. Worth a try if anyone's still planning a trip.

Really? I'm not sure if they would have let me. Considering my total was $6 or less each time - I think they would not have let me use the $3 one as well. I didn't even dare to try! I was there around 1:30-2:00. Doing 4 transactions, I might add! One was for a neighbor, but still I was there quite a while. But, I went out to my car after every transaction. I didn't see any males in the aisle when I was there - but I did hand one lady who was elderly two coupons for the oatmeal she picked off the shelf. I told her that it made her oatmeal free - since she had a cart half-full of stuff that I knew would total over $25. She was SO excited! Originally I handed her one and then she asked if she needed one for each of the boxes she had (she must have already grabbed one). I told her yes and grabbed her another one! I told her that they doubled on Wednesdays and so the $1 coupon would be $2 and since the oatmeal was $2, it would be free! I love being able to help people like that - it was fun!

That's so sweet of you! You probably made her day. My husband was there around 2:30/3:00, so he probably just missed you. We also bought a lot of other things (spent $42--saved $50+), so maybe that had something to do with the $3 going through??? Stay warm! |

Probably! I bought only oatmeal. So, even though they were very friendly and nice about it - I think they would have drawn the line at using the extra $3 off!

Wasn't able to make it out yesterday for doubles so my wonderful DH went out after tucking DS into bed for me. He was to do 3 rounds of oatmeal with 8 boxes per round. He had some trouble finding enough of the right kind but it worked out in the end. The coupons doubled and then the cashier pulled out the $3 coupon and scanned that too. He questioned it, but she said she didn't see any reason why he couldn't use it. Not really sure if it was Kosher or not being it too was a MF, but nothing to do about it now. The first round was $0, second was $1, and the third was $2. Not really sure why the second was $1. The third was $2 because he only had 6 $1/1 coupons instead of 8. In the end he came home with 24 boxes of oatmeal for $3!!! Not only was it a great deal, but I'd have to say, I'm pretty lucky to have such a wonderful guy who would go out late at time in the cold to buy oatmeal he probably won't eat. |

WHAT A GUY! Sounds like he's a keeper! That was really great of him to do. Okay, so my dh was willing to stop on his way home at Rainbow. He called to tell me that there were tearpads - but they were all empty. He volunteered to stop at 2 other Rainbows that were on his way home - but were much more out of the way. It was so cold, so I told him no. We already had 25 boxes of oatmeal, so I didn't want to push it - I wanted him home and safe! But hey, we are lucky to have such great guys willing to do that! He probably won't eat any of it either - although he will eat oatmeal occasionally. He just usually does dry cereal. But he knows how much we go through and knew it was a fantastic deal! That's great that the cashier let him do the $3 coupon as well - wow! What Rainbow do you go to?

I tend to go to either Savage or Chaska, they are pretty much the same distance. I sent him to Chaska last night knowing that you had been to Savage earlier. He called to let me know the oatmeal options and said that all four tear pads were gone. He too offered to go to EP, but at that point it was close to 10:00 and I didn't want him out any longer.

Eden Prairie's tearpads were wiped out before that - that is where my dh checked around 4:00 p.m. yesterday! That's too bad - Savage had a TON of coupons left. Just not much in the way of the specialized oatmeal! Ugh - if I would have known, I would have torn off a bunch and met you somewhere! Both of those are about equi-distant from me as well. We must live fairly close!
