I went to a CVS I have never been to today and it was different. Hard to explain, the layout, the lights, not really sure. Anyway one thing that was sooo odd to me was that the soy joy that is supposed to be the 6 bars for 6 with the ECB...ok well instead of them being in boxes...get this....they had groups of 6 rubber banded together ...all of them were this way. I should have taken a pic for you...made me laugh

I wonder if an employee accidentally opened the boxes thinking they were the normal display boxes. I wish my store would rubber band some up. . They don't have any of the 6 pk boxes.

My cvs had done this with the kotex. the two packages were TAPED together. I thought it was pretty weird....I guess they didn't have the double packs in stock??

How does joy compare to Nature Valley ? I only saw those with fruits... gives me the feeling its rather sweet. I don't like sweet stuff.

No, not sweet. More like ummm. a muffin mix that has been smooshed into a pan and overcooked to dry it out and then cut into bars. They are very THICK, and fill you up.
I don't LOVE them, but they are not to horrible to eat. I even Kinda like them... Don't you wonder why they ALL look kinda burnt? and kinda taste it too? I don't mind it, but most people don't like semi burnt stuff...

They are only as sweet as raisins and other dried fruits. Most people love 'em or hate 'em. Me and the kids love 'em!

My favorite is the mango/coconut, not all stores in my area got the prepackaged boxes either but I have not seen any taped up, that seems soooo GHETTO!!!

They kind of remind me of the consistency of fruit cake - very dense. I just bought the five boxes, and had never eaten them before. We go through a lot of this kind of stuff at my house with 5 kids and on the go all the time. Hubby likes the strawberry, while I like the mango/coconut the most. Really, they are not bad at all, not to mention free! That's the best part. Kind of makes them taste better! =)

MY CVS did not have any. I will do this deal next week. I have 30ECBs holding just for this. I love these bars. I like to keep them in my bag just in case I get hungry.

These go in my car for if we ever get stranded! They're certainly not anyones favorite around here, but I get the funny feeling that when you take just one bite of them they're so compressed that they triple in size once they hit your belly and would keep us going for awhile in case of an emergency!

Has anybody else heard that they raised the limit on the soyjoy? I read on another forum that someone got the limit of 5 on Saturday and her receipt showed that she had reached her limit. Then today, her receipt says she can get at least one more.

That's an excellent description of them! I like the raisin almond ones myself.
As far as carbs: on the back of the Mango Coconut I'm looking at it says: Total Carbohydrates 16g, Dietary Fiber 3g, Sugars 11g. HTH.

Nutrition Facts
SOYJOY nutrition bars include 4 grams of soy protein and about as much of fat, with no trans fat. Then there are 17 grams or so of carbohydrate, including a bit of fiber. If used as a meal replacement or recovery bar, supplement it with a protein and vitamin source.
Calories: 130-140
Carbohydrates: 16-17 grams, with 3 grams of fiber.
4 grams of protein.
4.5-6 grams fat, with no trans fat

Thanks ladies! They have about 16 net carb (used a carb calculator with the info you provided)...not a bad snack at all just not induction friendly. I'll keep them in mind for later on in my weight loss plan.
