I would have done a lot better had my husband not had to have his razor blades, but he needed them, plus my BOGO stackables didn't work as I thought they would, I did end up having to pay for 2, but it's not bad still. And they were out of the bottles! Oh well, I'll try again later, it's not a sale price, but I'm not sure when the coupon expires, I think it's sometime in September. Then I headed over to Food Lion and did great again! Total before coupons/sales: $70.67 Total after coupons/sales: $31.51 Total saved: $39.16 I didn't make it to Kroger, but I'm still below my budget for the week and I already have almost everything we need, including lots of meat I got at Food Lion with the $5/$20 in the meat department Flip. I got sandwich baggies for the hubby's lunches, whiteout, 3 big packages of chicken, 3 big packages of hamburger, 1 pack of FL wipes, bananas, organic beans, Scott naturals TP (it was on sale for $2.79 - $1 mfr q made it a decent deal) and I'm really not sure what else I got, but I had a trunk full of stuff ($136.91 worth) when I got home and only spent $46.92 oop!! Oh, add some Food Lion Soda in that mix, eggs, too! Got plenty to last the week and still have to go to Kroger tomorrow!

![]() ![]() My trip today. I did 1 small transaction and a big one. It took forever because the manager had to scrutinize 3 of my q's and then the register locked up...she was fairly nice but she said that they're getting so many IP's that its "preventing her from getting a raise"...whatever that means. She said "your coupons check out okay" Apparently she did something online because she said she was waiting for 'a printout.' Of course I don't mind because I know my q's are legit - but it sure ads a lot of time to a trip. I ended up using my meat FLIP on markdown meats because it was just a better deal than any of the MVP sale priced stuff. I got 76.98 worth of meat for 16.68! My freezer is busting at the seams. For everything in both photos my TOOP was 22.69! |

During the same shopping trip, I purchased the Natures place tortilla chips. Using the flip makes them $1.39 . I know thats not near free...but, it BETTER than $3.89 on other brands. Lucky for me, the are very tasty chips. I only purchsed 2 bags since i wasnt sure if they would be good or not. I can assure you, todays trips will include more of those . Im giving a baby shower in two weeks and everyone will be enjoying Natures Place chips with their pizza dip! ( dont worry, they dont expire until January 2010)

Nice work Cooks4fun~! We're actually having Kabobs tonight with chicken, pork and beef . I also just put those 2 pork shoulder roasts in a brine to cook tomorrow for pulled pork. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to smoke them or slow roast them in the oven. Maybe I'll do a combination of both.

Moggy....Sorry your shopping spree was delayed with scrutinizing management. When they put me in that position I always get so uncomfortable. I think her raised might be held up due to her lack of positive customer service, not your coupon usage. hee hee |

WOW, good choices, Im impressed and Im ready to join your for dinner! I love kabobs. You sound like you know what your doing. I cant wait to go back for my second meat run ...I have to go through my Qs to see what type of meat Q's I can add to the purchase to make it a better buy. I know I have some sausage and sandwich meat Q's. |

LOL, you might be right about the raise thing. You know, I do feel for the employees, but I really don't think they should be making comments like that to customers. Especially the managers. I know that in all the jobs I've had I would have probably gotten a stern talking to if a manager overheard me saying something like that. |

I met a super coupon friendly cashier today and she gave me some tips(most of which I already knew) BUT she told me that at that particular store they will take coupons that are for a similar item. Like the Noxema razors. She actually used that as an example. She said that they will take the Q for the 4 pack on the 2 pack because it is the same brand. I had my binder with me today, so I got 4 packs with the Qs I had. No beeps or anything either!

I used my $1/3 FLIP for the sodas, but noticed on my receipt that it only took off $0.50. My daughter said "Mom, it's only 50 cents", but it's still frustrating to me. Especially since they had none of the sale meat and only 2 boxes of FL frosted flakes and one box of FL crispy rice (sale by 3/09) in the whole store! I don't know if it's this particular store or all the Richmond, VA ones. It's in a nice area- maybe I'll try one in a less nice area before I totally give up on FL...

Sorry to hear that mommynurse. Thankfully the store I go to was very prepared for this sale. I went several times yesterday and today and about everytime I went they were stocking. I didnt see them being out of anything. Did anybody else have the 1.00 off any bounty q? I had 15 of them (dont remember where they came from) and I got the Bounty basic paper towels for free plus .21 overage.

In 2 transactions: 6 - FL soda: .50 ea - (2) $1/3 FLIPs = $1 1 - Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen: 3.60 - $2 IP = $1.60 2 - NP beans: 1.15 ea - $1 FLIP = $.30 ea 2 - H360 cleaning wipes: 1.49 ea - 1.50 FLIP = -.02 2 - FL gallon milk (marked down): .79 - $1 GS = -.42 -------- Total oop: $.79!! ($.20 of which was tax) - The reason it was so low was b/c I completely forgot about what you guys were mentioning about the soda FLIP beeping and got confused, and she was confused, so she just put $2 for both of them! My second transaction was actually negative, and I was so flustered! Usually I throw a candy bar on there, but she asked for the manager to override saying "she used coupons, so gets her refund" like it was nothing new. Eek! I'll be better prepared tomorrow...I REALLLLLY hope she doesn't get in trouble (although the manager didn't seem to care), she's one of my favs!! Total savings: $21.03 (not counting what I saved on the marked-down milk) Note: I noticed that our store usually marks down their milk 4-5 days before the expiration date. They're usually $1.49 (so $.49 w/ GS FLIP), but this week they've been $.79, so overage! All in all, I think we've paid about $4.50 for 10 gallons of milk over the past couple of weeks! What we can't use immediately gets frozen...or made into cheese, my hubby's new hobby. :P |

Well, I kinda hate that I wasted the gas to do a lunch run. The strawberries looked horrible (oh well, they are way out of season), there were non H360 wipes, the Clorox wipes went back up to 3.19 and the cheapest FL nuts I could find were 2.50 so I passed on that 'deal.' Here is the little bit I got #1 Transaction 1 Planters Trail Mix 1.99 (bounus buy) 3 Glade Soy Candles BOGO = 3.00 each coupons used $2.00 off one Planters FLIP 3- $3 off Glade candles (2 IP's and one insert q) Coupons tendered 20.50 OOP .66 (all tax - tax was .70) #2 1 Planters Trail mix 1.99 BB -$2.00 FLIP Coupons tendered 2.50 OOP .14 (all tax -tax was .15) |

Are the Planters FLIPs beeping? Sometimes my FL is funky and it will beep because I haven't met the minimum requirement...I wasn't sure if it might not beep since the price is more than 2.00 regularly?
