Update Hmmm...did Target change their IP policy?

I went to Target today and had a bunch of inserts and 1 IP. The cashier must h ave been new because she couldn't figure out coupons. So another lady comes over and asks her how many IP's I have. I said one, and even after I said that, she said, "Only ONE internet coupon, PER DAY, PER CUSTOMER, PERIOD." In a really rude and snotty voice. UM, HELLO! I only had one anyway!
But since when is this the policy???? Did something change that I am unaware of?

**UPDATE**

Here is the response from CS. I WILL be calling them later when I get a chance!

Dear **** *****,

If you have any questions about a specific coupon or experience using a coupon at Target, we want to help! Please give our Guest Relations team a call at (800) 440-0680. We'll do the best we can to help you as quickly as possible. For your call, please provide a team member with the following reference number: 1-349019789.

In the meantime, I'd like to share with you some information about our coupon policy. When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:

- We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
- We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
- We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we're able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
- We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.

Also, the team members attitude at the checkout area you described isn't part of our guest service philosophy. We expect our team members to help you in a professional manner. Hearing your comments is important to us and I've shared them with the Lansing South Target Store's Leadership team for further review

Thanks for writing. Give us a call if there's anything else we can do to help.

Sincerely,

Jason
Target Guest Relations

I just sent this email to Customer Service. We'll see what they say.

I went to Target today and had a 8 Sunday insert coupons and 1 internet printable coupon. The cashier must have been new because she couldn't figure out coupons, and had another associate come over. She asks how many IP's I have. I said one, and even after I said that, she said, "Only ONE internet coupon, PER DAY, PER CUSTOMER, PERIOD," in a VERY rude and snotty voice.
I was so flabbergasted I didn't even know what to say! Nevermind this is the first time I have even heard of this policy - could you please send me your policy on BOTH coupons and internet coupons?
This behavior is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for Target employees to use with customers and I cannot believe it is tolerated as often as it is. I use printable TARGET coupons as well - am I only able to use one of these???
Thanks!

Well, I don't know, possibly someone that works @ Target may know the answer: was this CSM afraid of "coupon fraud", & getting into trouble IF the IP was fraudulent? That $5/$25 Fraudulent Target Toy Coupon from last July just seems to be in the back of some Target emloyees minds, unconscously (sp??). Was she afraid that she was going to have money taken from her paycheck if she or a cashier under her watch took fraudulent coupons?
That's the only reasoning I can come up, as to my knowledge, Target's coupon policy has not changed. Or possibly she just plain hates to deal w qs.

Anyone else know anything different?

I was in my local T last Thurs., 12/18, & several different IP's were taken, especially the Aetna Colgate qs, all w/o problems.

That's what I was thinking, but heck, I dunno! It was a Johnson & Johnson $3/2 from Smartsource, although she didn't give me a hard time about that particular Q, just IP's in general.
Eh, I'll be up your way end of next week. I'll just stop in Marquette on my way to the in laws or on the way home to do my shopping. ROFL!!!!
