OK...I'm talking about the card style coupons that were on the back of that Christmas Wrapped catalog that came last week...

I had a "get a $10 gift card when you spend $100 @ Target", and my SIL gave me her coupon from the catalog that was good for an instant "$15 off a $150 purchase".

I went to the store and bought 3 $50 gift cards. I asked the cashier if I could use both coupons on this transaction. She called the CSM over. CSM reads both cards, back and front and says..."I don't see why not, try it!".

It worked...no beeps or anything. So, I got $160 in gift cards for $135.


The CSM said thank you for your business and smiled at me.

This will be great for anyone who has this coupon but won't be spending that much in one transaction.

Great idea! I only have the $10/$100, but was having trouble figuring out $100 worth of stuff I need from a regular Target. I will just get a GC now to use for the toy clearance in a month or so.

are you sure about your gift cards? if i was you i would check the balance on your cards is actually what it's supposed to be. i was always told that you can't use discounts when buying gift cards because it reduces the amount that goes onto the gift card. let me know if it actually worked out for you.

OK...now I'm using those gift cards as gifts...how would I check the balances without scratching off the silver thingy on the back to check the balance? My receipt clearly shows 3 $50 gift cards and a $10 gift card. I'll call target with my receipt and see if they can help me. I will be back to post again regarding this...

OK...I scratched off the #'s on the back of the cards and looked them up. I have 3 $50's and 1 $10...just as I thought. Maybe other store would handle it differently....but it worked out perfectly for me! WOOHOO!
