| LOLOL @ Kmart "area coordinator:" Total $ amount of Q discount must be $4 or less
So, I was like 30+ items into my 55 item purchase tonight @ the first store I went to. Had a very sweet cashier who was on his third day and doing a great job. He was patient and kind and seemed happy to be at work. Very unusual for Kmart :p He picks up one of my Sally Hansen $1/1 Qs and this time kinda reads the fine print. His eyes get a little wide and he says "excuse me..." He runs off for a moment and returns with "Area Coordinator." She looks very upset and says to me something about how normally they don't do this but because I'm so far into the transaction they will allow it ONE TIME but I can't use any more Qs. I am confused and I ask her why... I have followed their fine print to the letter. I have 55 items, no more than 4 Qs for identical items, etc etc. She points at the screen to show that my Q savings is already well over $40 and says that "It says on the ad that we are doubling coupons up to a value of $2." I am confused again... Then I realize she's telling me the TOTAL AMOUNT of my Qs cannot exceed $2. She tells me that if I had a bunch of (and I quote) "Five cent or ten cent coupons, we could double many of them. But you have already well exceeded $2 value and I cannot allow you to use any more." I try to stay calm and ask for the ad. I show her all the fine print and ask her why there is a 75 Q limit. And why 4Qs for 4 identical items is there and all these things and she just keeps saying I'm wrong. I ask her if I can speak to anyone higher up. She tells me no, and that corporate is closed. I try again to remain calm (but freaking out and  ing on the inside) and ask if she can please double-check, as I may have misunderstood but I thought I could double up to 75 total coupons with a face value of $2 or more.Finally she relents after walking off for a minute... she was actually really nice and apologized and everything... but ***?!?!?! $2 TOTAL Qs to double to $4 TOTAL DISCOUNT?!?!?! My mind was blown |

75 coupon at $0.10 a piece would still put you way over the $2.00 limit. You would be all the way up to .....$7.50! With those kinds of savings I'm amazed your store isn't packed. Who would miss such a great deal? Even at $0.05 per coupon you would be at $3.25. This is quite possibly the funniest thing. I would have been rolling on the floor LMAO! I'm proud of you that you kept it in. You are more patient and cordial than I!

im rolling in the floor laughing over here. i would have said " well ma'am can you please show me a 5 or 10 cent coupon! i have never seen one and would love to see one as they are very rare"

Has that woman ever even LOOKED at a coupon? Seriously, when was the last time any of you saw a 10 cent coupon. I would have said well that makes sense, lets do it all in seperate transactions so we do not break any rules.  The cashier would probably have quit. This is just too funny, people are so stupid at times, the hardest part for me would have been watching her have a straight face and knowing this was what she TRULY believed to be the case.

I seriously hope i have no problems today! im headed out soon to hit the kmart in LR and we are organizing the binder right now just for Kmart , then im working on my target and walgreens deals for today since half my coupons expire UGH

Mannnnn, that was hilarious! Dyin' here...5 & 10 CENT Q's???? You know what, I'll bet she just went to a yard sale and picked up some 1970's Reader's Digests and that's where she saw 'em. I'm gonna be scoutin' eBay for some of those suckers for the next Doubles--don't you all be bidding against me now!Funniest post ever (but sorry for your experience).

Can someone please tell me where to find the .05 and .10 Q's. IVDSO!!! LMAO!!! I would have called her on it... and told her how ridiculous her statements were, that it wasn't even reasonable to only total up to 4.00 max, with a 75 Q limit!

I had a more eager cashier. He knew there were double coupons, but didn't realize that the computers were already doing it, so I got quadruple coupons on my first visit. I went back last night and had the same cashier - he's been retrained since Sunday.
