I just figure about how much my overage is going to be and hand them the gift card first. You have to load a minimum of $5 on it, so if your overage is less than that you just have to pay the difference at the end.

My store just gives me the overage, but sometimes I get fillers if the overage is more than a few dollars.

ok im lost, when you buy something for 1.00 and the coupon is 1.50 ??? they will take it , my store told me i could not use the coupon ???? because if so i might have to talk to csm are waslmart just open i think there in train and so am i !!!

It really is YMMV.....I would NEVER expect to get overage but am happy when I do. I also always make sure I have a filler or a gift card to load as I feel that just draws attention to the fact that I got overage (and like I said, some CSM/cashiers are good about it and others feel like you are taking out of there pocket or something). But they (WM) get paid the full value of the Q, so usually that is the opinion of the CSM/cashiers when they do notice the overage. Other times, they adjust my Q down when they notice and once in a great while they refuse to take my Q if they notice it is over the amount of the item. It is always something different for me so I am just prepared for whichever way they go that day
