I was looking at the Walgreen's add this morning and there is a coupon in the booklet for Scotch Magic tape are on sale for 2/1$ this week. Well the Publix holiday booklet has a coupon in it for save 1$/2 Scotch Magic Tape. Though it is a manufacture q it says in bottom corner Redeem at Publix. Can I still use it at Walgreen's or no. Just wondering for I have a handful of the booklets.

I was coming here to post about the tape as well, but I have a slightly different scenerio ...
A SS supplement that I picked up in our local Spanish paper has a $1/6 (meaning two 3-packs) q for Scotch tape. WAGS has their 3-packs of Scotch tape on sale for 2/$4. There also is a $2 rebate in the Dec. book for when you buy 2 3-packs of Scotch tape. So, it would be $1 OOP for 6 rolls of Scotch tape.

This is INaccurate information.

The 5 and the 9 have NOTHING to do with whether the coupon is a STORE or a MFR coupon.

If a coupon starts with a 9, it will NEVER DOUBLE. Even if your store doubles coupons. If it starts with a 5, it will double (as long as it's not above the value your store doubles) even if it says "do not double"

As for the coupon mentioned by the OP: YES. You can use that coupon at Walgreens. It states it is a mfr coupon. It does not say "redeemable ONLY at Publix". It just says "Redeem at Publix" -- it's a marketing ploy to sway you to use that coupon and buy your tape at Publix.

I wish cashiers would know that it can be redeemed at ANY store - usually they see another store listed and won't let me use the coupon. This isn't just Walgreens...it's a general store coupon issue! Thanks for posting it...as a reminder for me too!
