How does your K-Mart handle rainchecks?

So the reason I am asking this question is that my K-mart first tells me that they don't do rainchecks on ANYTHING. So I point out the bottom of the ad that says they do unless it is clearly marked otherwise in the ad.

Then when I finally tell me fine whatever..... they pull out a 3 ring binder and ask for my name & phone number. They then rip the page out of the ad and staple it next to my name and say we will call you when we get more.

What kind of raincheck system is that?

Customer service is closed when I just tried calling them.

You have got to be kidding ! What wonderful customer service....not. I have never asked for a rain check at our K-Mart but their day to day customer service is so bad I can only imagine what they would say.

My neighbor got a raincheck a few weeks ago for a toy that was out of stock...not sure what she got to take with her but when it came in they did call her and held it for her for 3 days...sounds like typical K-mart service which is why I don't shop there unless they are doubling!

So I get ahold of customer service 800 # today and am told that if they are out of rainchecks sounds like they at least tried to help you.

I ask the lady how is that customer service that I have to fight to get my name on a list and how do I have proof that I have a raincheck for the item. She got snotty so I asked her is this why you have so many offices closing and she states maybe maybe not.

Customer service stinks and I really don't blame anyone at the customer level. I blame those that are above making six figure checks tell them what the new rules are without dealing with the customers.
