Can you use more than one gift certificate at once, say if I wanted to take out my entire family?

You actually have to choose the place first. You have to search for whatever area you are looking into going and see the participating restaurants located there. Then you choose the one you want to go to, buy the gc, and print it at that time or whenever you are ready to use it. They keep it on file in your account. Oh, about using more than one at a time, I guess it depends on the restaurant. The ones I got say it can't be used with any other discounts and only 1 card at a time.

I haven't found any that you can use more than one GC at a time. Read the fine print, it should tell you.

It did it for me automatically when I finished checking out. You get the bonus instantly in your account and you get your 25% back the next day, at least that is how it worked for me! You can then either transfer to paypal or request a check.
