I don't shop at Target a lot and since I got some great deals last time, I stopped by there today. I only found two things at dollar bins and 1 clearance clothing for my 2 year old at $1.48. All the clearance end cap that I saw last time didn't have any clearance items at all and the price at clothing clearance racks were not that great.
I was wondering is this because of upcoming holiday or do they usually have certain month or weeks or days that they put out more clearance items???

they do have a schedule but the one nearest me doesnt follow any kind of schedule at all they reduced prices on a mens and kids oneday and then following week dont change prices until 1.5-2 weeks. they are very dead and dont have a great staff.

I haven't noticed a schedule at my Target either. Things will sit at 30% off for weeks, it can be frustrating because I only shop for clearance stuff mostly there.

they usually mark stuff further down every two weeks or so. they wont mark something 30% one week, and then they next it go 50%.

Really i heard most people get their markdowns like that. 30% one week then 50% the next then 75% hmm good to know!!

Is there a way we can tell when they marked down the price in the red tag? I learned that small number on right top indicates the percent off but didn't see anything that looked like the date when they put the price on. If we can find out when they reduced the price, it will be helpful for the next reduction whether it be in a week or 2-3 weeks...

yep. that little number at the top of the right hand side is the % off. you'll see a 30, 50, or 75. hardly every does regular mechandise go 90%, just seasonal.

I think it is due to the holiday season. My Target normally has great clearance, but I have noticed over the last few years that during November and December, there is not much clearance anywhere. I don't mind it too much, since January is awesome for clearance at Target!

Ditto, I have also noticed over the years there is very little clearance merchandise between mid November and Christmas.

At my store, I noticed our normal clearance endcaps in grocery and on the left side of the store have disappeared over the last 2 weeks. They are still in place in Home Office and a few racks of clothing are still on clearance. Nothing interesting!
