I guess the economy has taken a turn and affected just about everyone. The 99 cent only store now offically charges 99.99 cents which really means that items are now a dollar.

I was tickled to see the items ring up for a dollar. It's only a penny but wow - they can't change the name of the store!

that is insane. We ate McDonalds for lunch and I know our dollar menu is still a dollar. i can feed me and my two boys for 5.41 ($5 plus tax). I think I will boycot if it goes up.

I didn't even notice if the cheeseburger was a 1.00 or not. We went to McDonalds earlier today. I haven't been to .99 store in awhile.

All I know is we can no longer afford to eat out any wheres here. We have a family of 6....Taco Bell now costs over $25!!!! 6 years ago our family of 4 could eat for $10. Oh well, one day I will figure out how to make McDonald's fries at home. LOL
