I have a question about the ad scans though - I don't think, legally, the scans can say "Property Of AFullCup." Quite technically, that ad, or any representation of it is considered Intellectual Property belonging to CVS.

With that said, it's extremely difficult to see or read the ad, and with that big label across the bottom, it's pretty much impossible to see what's behind it.

Now I completely understand that boards have a tendancy to want credit for what they post, and I agree, but a quick "AFC" penned in with permanent marker in between blank red spaces would be a lot easier to "work" with.

Just my 2 cents...I'm still on the fence about the new deals format...but it does make it MUCH easier to add to my spreadsheet (for my own coupon matching purposes).

Don't know if these are good ones to add to the Listerine, but in the FREE CVS pharmacey Diabetes book they handed out a few weeks ago there is a CVS coupon for 1$ off, and online at Listerine.com there was a 1 dollar coupon, maybe these could be stacked?

I agree. I had a hard time trying to read the ads under the watermark. As far as the property of CVS, the actual ad is their property and should not be photocopied and handed out. However, the photo's belong to whomever took them. It is a copywrite thing and it keeps others from using someones hard work as their own. I understand that. Maybe an easy fix would be to make the watermark more transparent. I know that in Photoshop you can control the transparency levels. I am sure that the person that took the photo's did not mean to make it hard to read or any more difficult for us. Just remember that it is a privalage to be able to see any ads beforehand and we are so blessed to have such a great group of individuals that help us get our great deals. I Love AFC!!!

I couldn't agree more...I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in about not putting the watermark over an actual product or description. No doubt, sometimes that's a little harder said than done...

On the other issue, legally, the ad and the scan still belongs to CVS - it's Intellectual Property (same as posting PDF's of CVS coupons, etc - we can discuss this via PM if you'd like - YouTube and IStockPhoto have pretty great information on things like this) and so the ad scan (or any other electronic format) technically can not belong to AFC. Adding a watermark or any mention of AFC definitely gives much deserved "credit" to AFC and the person/people that took the time to scan it, but I would REALLY hate someone to get in trouble (in any form from any one) because they "called it their own."

I can see the ad perfectly fine. Bellasmama and Amidala worked very hard to get this ad up and I feel like others should be appreciative to have the ad so far in advance. Walgreens does not get their ads this early either does Rite Aid. I have the "actual" ad. If anyone is interested in something that the watermark covers please feel free to PM me and I would be more than happy to clear up the confusion or answer any questions about it. Also all the ECB and BOGO deals are listed in my postings along with limits.

I'm sorry if you misunderstood my comment to mean I am not appreciative of the work and effort that has been put into posting the ad so early. Quite the opposite - I am EXTREMELY appreciative.

As I posted earlier - I would HATE to see anyone get in trouble from any source - even worse, I would HATE to see CVS come in and tell us to pull the ads BECAUSE of the WORDING of the watermark.

Again, I sincerely apologize if the original meaning of my post somehow relayed any other feeling than total appreciation and concern for the well-being of the forum.

I contacts the admins last night and they assured me that we were fine, I believe Monica plans to post a response to you. There are plenty of coupon and freebie websites out there that don't follow the rules or requests of CVS, but AFC is not one of them, hence our policy on not allowing the posting of cvs q's. AFC is usually the first on the web to get these ads up and we take pride in that and all the hard work that goes into it, which is why it is watermarked at all, which is honestly not that easy or fun, ! I appologize if some of the pictures are not as clear as people would like. We honestly put a lot of time and effort into them and getting them up so far in advance. As far as your post WillUBMyKnight, no harm, no foul. I wanted clarification before I answered you, that's why it took so long.

Just an FYI, you can right click to print then select print options and print that frame only without all the other stuff on the page. I know that isn't the same as picking and choosing items, just and idea for now.
