help a SCR newbie!

Hey! I would love to start getting into refunds, since I just so happen to have a LITTLE bit of extra money this week. Can somebody find me a deal that will give me a relatively low OOP after coupons, so I can get my first SCR. I'd love to start rolling these rebates. TIA!

Kotex are on sale for $3. There are $1 and $1.50 Qs out there. $1 peelies attached to some of the packages. That's only $2 OOP.

Suave is $1.99 with up to $2.00 rebate. $1/1 Q in Nov. ALL YOU magazine (mags found at checkout at Wal-Mart).

The GE extension cord is a good deal. No Qs, but it's cheap at $2, and with the holidays coming up, you might need it.

Oral B toothbrush is $2.49, with $1 Qs in October Sunday inserts (I forget which week).

That's approx. $6.xx OOP, with $9.xx coming back in your rebate at the end of the month.

Ibis, I think you're a little confused on the Green Dot card. You purchase the card for whatever value you want, say $25 just for an example. Then, to activate the card, there's a $9.95 activation fee. The SCR is for the activation fee. So, in order for the OP to use the card, she will have to load money on it. The $9.95 doesn't get loaded on it.

Wow, that seems like such a lot to charge for an activation fee. The highest one I've ever seen around here is $1. Thanks for the heads up. I'll correct my earlier post.

(Maybe that's why my Rite Aid didn't do the prepaid visa or mc deal?)

Thanks! I think I'll go in and try to find these things tomorrow! Hopefully my RA still has everything in stock! Thanks again!
