I believe the sale starts Thanksgiving Day and stores open at 8am. I am not sure if that's the case for BF though.

You are correct! The 24 hour stores start at 5am though!

Did you go at Midnight on Black Friday, or midnight on Thanksgiving? My friend and I are planning to meet at 11:30 Wendesday night, so by the time we check out it's Thursday - when the deals are supposed to begin.

I called the CVS hotline today (which was extremely helpful!!!) to ask officially when the sale started. She called my local 24 hour store and verified when the manager was going to flip the switch. My manager said that he switches it early so we can go at midnight on Wednesday/Thursday night at midnight.

So call your 24 hour stores and see when they are flipping the switch. Maybe you'll get lucky too!!

Sorry just saw this. I went out at 12 am on thursday. (thanksgiving) So I guess you could say wednesday night since I left my house at 11:30.

I am curious. Regardless of whether it is a 24 hour store or not, does anyone know if they put the items out the day before....a small CVS is about a minutes drive from me...there are ones that are a bit further, but close enough that I would go prior to whatever they deem the start of BF/Thanksgiving sale to see what they have and where they are located...

One more question...how long before the sale, does the ad come out?

I have never owned a crockpot or grill or waffle maker...guess what Mommy will find under the tree from the kiddos?

He told me a few weeks ago if they didn't have something in stock I could go ahead and ring it up like I'm buying it to get my ecb's and he would write me a raincheck for a free item of whatever they didn't have. He did this with the wrinkle cream. I just rolled my ecbs' and got more ecb's back and a raincheck for the item to get free. I love him.

My manager Used to do that. It worked out great because I would not have to re-work my scenerio in the store if they were out of stock of something. He called it "Pre-Sellling" an item. I would normally pick it up when it comes in. However, he had to stop doing it. There were some issues with the inventory and the district manager told him he could not do that anymore. So now I try to have him order ahead of time for the following week. That way my stuff is set aside and he has enough stock.

Thats a great idea. I usually just get a raincheck for the item and get it free or for whatever it was after the ECBs the next week.
We again, had NO free after ECB at two of our CVSs!! We also did not have any of the cranberry, which I would not have bought, it's cheaper elsewhere even if you bogo free there. BUT, they advertised it, they should have it!!!

I asked the manager at my CVS and she said they are going to be open 9AM-2PM.
I live in a smaller town so the hours might be different than other non 24 hour stores.
