Facts OK... my store changed its policy per corporate? anyone else heard of this?

I am new to thing Walgreen's stuff but I have been using my RR from my Robitussin to buy Pringles and other items. Both last night and today at a different store location I was told that if I use ANY RR to pay for a transaction then I will not get a RR. I was going to use my $3 RR from my Pringles to pay for part of the Gillette Razor deal which I also was purchasing 6 single candy bars. Am I doing something wrong? Cashier said this is the New policy and I said since when and she gave me this look and said "Since Yesterday!" I was like what the heck, just my luck, I am new in saving my coupons and doing this and then they change the rules? Any advice? Thanks! Lisa in Indiana

Not true. A lot of cashiers will say that. If you don't get one, they did not hit the total button BEFORE you scan the coupon or their catalina machine is not working. When I have a cashier that tells me something new, I always ask to see it in print. If not, I say, "Let's try and see what happens." I am amazed how many people get told this though...

I do think Pringles and Fusion are both P&G, so if it didn't print, THAT is why.

The cashier tried and the machine beeped so that is why I thought maybe it was true. maybe it is because Pringles and Fusion are both P&G Products, I didn't think of that. If I can figure out some good deals I am going to stop back in today and try again. I sure hope this is not a new policy but also wondered if maybe it is just a new policy for Indiana stores. Thanks for your guys help! Lisa

I'm in IN too and have nothing but troubles at Walgreens.

I don't have problems getting the RRs... I have major issues trying to use them... 1 RR per transaction, 1 RR per DAY, no multiple transactions, etc. etc. etc... Extremely frustrating to say the least!

Try ringing up at a different register. Today the manager gave me the same song and dancec. RR didn't print, because of Q's or because I used a RR to pay. Went to a different register to pay and it printed just fine. The RR machine was broken. She smiled and said, well it's coming.

My only other option is going to the cosmetic counter but I will try this on my trip this week. I may have to learn the ropes for CVS, maybe they are "nicer" over there!
