what happens if there is a food recall - how does anyone know with generic labels they have at Aldi's?

A food recall is usually limited to a certain product. Aldi's has its own label, so they are only responsible if their product is bad, or if it is attached to a certain additive on recall. Hope that helps!

When a recall is put out, it is done by the manufacturer, not the store you bought it from. The manufacturer knows which products/brands it affects and lists them all.

I seem to remember Aldi having several product recall notices in the store back during the peanut debacle, so I imagine that Aldi keeps on track with recalls for their own brands when things happen.
