Last week there were over 30 items that were free after rebate, this week there are 2 free after rebate, and next week, there are 12 items that are free or better yet money makers after rebate. I encourage you to check out the weekly deals and see just how much better you can do at Rite Aid!! Now I know alot of you have had problems in the past with Rite Aid, and although I never thought I would say this, I think Rite Aid is right up there with some of the more popular drug stores lately. Something I have started doing is when I get my rebate, I cash my check and make sure to put money on a Rite Aid Gift Card. Now, I know alot of you may not like this idea, but seriously, it is what makes the deals so good to me. I have an initial investment the first month, and then from then on out I use the Rite Aid GC to purchase free after rebate items and the cycle continues. If pickin's get slim, I just cash out my GC when I get my rebate and I don't put that money on my gift card. Anyhow, I just thought I would let you all know how GREAT Rite Aid has been to us faithful few lately! Do you feel the same?? Anyone have anything positive to say?!? Post here! ![]() ~Ash Last edited by mama2gavin; 10-19-2008 at 09:23 PM. |

| Rite Aide
I shop at Rite Aide infrequently. However, this past week I did the RX trasfer for 30 GC. I shopped for freebies and will have my rebate plus all stuff for free. Will have future purchases for free. I am going to try to keep rolling the 30 card to have no out of pocket for free items.

I have about 2 Rite Aids within 3 miles but don't usually shop there. So how does it work? They give you a rebate check and then you have to cash it at your bank? Rite aid?

I love Rite Aid!!! The Neti Pot that was FAR is my new best friend!! I live about a mile from one and until I read that they had 30 free items I hadn't ever used coupons there, only shopped there if I need one or two quick items. I can't believe I have been missing out on such great deals! I'm excited to do the diaper deal tomorrow!

I just found a RA that smiles while accepting my IPs! They were training a newbie, and told her how to scan them correctly (covering the doubled bar code that makes it beep). Also it was almost still fully stocked on the last day of the 30 FAR sale! I'm so excited. I was almost DONE with RA until I found this store near me! So, yes, give it a whirl before giving up!

I've been doing Rite Aid for a couple of months. Their rebate program is called Single Check Rebates (SCR). It's a piece of cake. After you purchase the rebate items, you simply log on to your SCR account, click on the rebates you're using and add them to your account, then enter three numbers printed on your receipt. Within a couple of days, you get an email from RA telling you your account has been updated. You can log back in and confirm that your rebates have been accepted. Occasionally something doesn't get credited. You just recheck your receipts and the rebate terms to make sure you didn't make a mistake. If RA is wrong, you just call their CS number and they fix it. You do this for all the rebates you're getting during that month -- which isn't exactly the beginning/end of a given month. See RA's rebate books for details. This month's offers run 9/28 - 10/25. So on 10/26, I will click on a button to request my rebate check. When it arrives, I cash my rebate check at the bank. No RRs/ECBs to use by a specific date, no having to split my order into separate transactions (unless I'm doing an additional mail-in rebate), no having to figure out which combination of items will generate the most RRs/ECBs, etc. And best of all, unless I'm doing double rebates for an item, there's nothing to mail in. That's the beauty of doing RAs SCRs online! ![]() But the best part is the cash in my hand when I leave the bank. |

After seeing how many rebates were available at RA that had good Q matchups I started to shop there more often. I have 3 RA not far from me and was always able to find thing that were FAR. The cold medicine deal was well worth it! I used my rebates, mfr. Q's and wound up paying like 2.49 OOP and will be getting back 43.98 in rebates! Its really worth it and reading the post on this board really helped a lot. Thanks everyone for giving the heads up on good deals! Because of this, I have been doing more rebates not than I ever did in the past and I'm making money on them! ![]()

A great point jweiderhold, you could always transfer your prescription to start out at Rite Aid. They have a pamphlet at the front of the store that has 4 30.00 gift card transfer coupons!!!

I have been against the whole RA experience since I started doing this... BUT I went in one today, and I must tell you.. it will be added to my store rotation (I think WAGS is fixing to get kicked to the curb....). They had alot of things on sale and I cant wait to start with the SCR... you have a new RA recruit.. (that and the fact that they are EVERYWHERE around here!)

A friend of mine did awesome at RA last week. She got so much medicine for cheap or free. So I decided to go check out RA today, my first time ever even going inside one. I ended up getting crest that will be free after rebate and bogo knee highs and then I had a coupon for those. So it was a pretty good first trip. I will be keeping a closer eye on them from here on out.

I have always LOVED my RA. I think I may be lucky. Ours is well stocked, friendly and clean. I felt bad doing the 30 FAR items, but I asked the cashier and she said that I'm the only one that really does the FAR's at that store. I was shocked!

I am liking Rite Aid more and more. They have been doing quite a few FAR items lately, and the rebate submission process is very very easy. I also like how they mark the clearance in the store- my store uses those big yellow shelf tags, and it makes the clearance much easier to spot.

There are 4 Rite Aid stores that I visit. I have been able to stock up and donate so much since starting in July. This forum definitely helps me keep track of deals too!

i have been doing the SCRs for years. My Rite Aid store opens at 7 on Sundays and if the deals are good i am there first thing. Cant complain about the store. Now the pharmacy- that is another story but its the closest one to me and they have a drive-in so dh will go. All my scripts are there too so I never get the gc.

I did my first SCR this week! And I just saw a new Rite Aid is going in near where I'm going to be moving, which probably means I'm going to be shopping at Rite-Aid lots more...and it's on the way to Target!

I do love Rite Aid!! I won't give up my cvsing, but I like the SCR program that Rite Aid has. I've done the same thing and turned my first SCR's into a gift card so i don't have any oop. I hate paying oop even though I know I'm going to get the money back. I didn't do all the FAR deals last week becuase i didn't need a lot of it and it would have costed me money oop. I love that I can turn my $30 GC into a $45 or $50 gc with coupons. Hopefully I'll keep getting more. My manager at RA ROCKS and is soooo sweet. They just opened up a brand new store down the block from the other one and it is soooo nice, big and clean! I'm liking going there more now too! While I still think I get more stuff at CVS from rolling ECB's now, I love the free stuff I get at my RA as well.

I love rite aid! Have gotten a bunch a bunch of free items with coupons. This is the first month that i have tried rebates. I did qualify for the diabetes tote bag but my soft lips isn't showing up. I used to think rite aid wasn't worth the time because they are ALWAYS so high on everything! But that was before I read their sales ad's and joined AFC.

I always wanted to try RA but I already shop at wags and cvs. So I am thinking it maybe to confusing trying to shop at all three. Especially keeping up with Rebates from Wags and SCR from RA. Does anyone else here shop at all three?

Don't be fooled, Rite Aid is probably the least confusing of all Drug Store to shop at. And lately they have been having better deals than CVS which, as I said before SHOCKS me! How can you beat 12 FREE items next week and no strings attached?
