| I was doing CVS and WAGS, but I think i am going to do RA now and lets WAGS go... only because I get really confused when I go to WAGS.. they tell me something different everytime I go. And RA seems to be very straightfoward... sales, q's, SCR... thats it. YEAH, I think I will finish up October with WAGS and try RA next month

Someone RAOK'd me a nice little glam bag that they got from Rite Aid (I think). If anyone has any extras, I would love them for my toiletry bags I'm putting together for the women's and homeless shelters, as well as the boxes I'm doing for soldiers. Feel free to PM me! TIA!

I also enjoy RA, Walgreen’s just is just too confusing having to keep up with RR's printing/not printing, combining/not combining, expiring, finding something else to buy in order to make the deal worth it, etc. yek! too much work. At RA just purchase and submit online and get your money back without any stipulations to keep track of. SCR’s are very handy for those of us who don’t have easy access to loads of coupons.

I find the RiteAid online rebate form is MUCH easier to use than Walgreen's. It's easier to enter receipt info, your current (as well as previous) status is presented in a very organized way, and you get very clear feedback as to whether your purchases meet the eligibility requirements (either immediately or within a few days). I've only used the Wag's online system for 2 months, but I don't think I will ever like it very much. I just do it so that I can keep my original receipts. I also HATE the issues with RR's -- printing, not printing. One cashier even tried to prevent me from using an RR because it had smeared when it printed--like it was somehow MY problem that their printer wasn't working perfectly!

My favorite Rite Aid perk is actually when they are OUT of a FAR item. They give me a raincheck that I can use once they are restocked and then they ring up the item for FREE, meaning no waiting for a rebate check and my favorite part--no taxes!! I went Saturday night to get all the free meds and lip stuff and couldn't find several of the items, the manager was actually crawling around on her hands and knees helping me find items and writing down the UPCs so I could get rain checks for the items they were out of. I told her that I had donated a bunch of free items to a benefit auction and they made $400 off stuff that I got for free. She was impressed and so great! I called 1 800 RITE AID to give her the kudos she deserves! P.S. This weeks adult diapers would be a good donation to a food bank! |

I really like RA. They had so many single check rebates for the month of October, I am expecting a $126 rebate check. And these were all items I used. It is like getting $126 of merchandise for free!

I contacted corp. and got never got a return call. I'm just going to burn my rebate GC and leave them out my shopping equation. We have to keep in mind that they need us as consumers and they should realize that when we shop with coupons we making the store money. Its still all good there is still CVS!

I have a friend who works in retail aas a store manager in a mall. He's been in this business for 2 decades. They are under enormous pressure to keep their revenues at a specific level. They're also judged by how much freight they move through their store. But some of these drugstore managers seem to think that coupon shoppers are hurting them by causing them to keep restocking their shelves, and "stealing" money from them by using coupons. I don't get it. My friend the store manager would LOVE it if people flocked to his store to take advantage of all his good deals. |

Does Rite Aid general have issues with accepting coupons? I went shopping at RA for the first time yesterday and bought 2 items that had peelies to use for that purchase. The cashier rung up my order and I asked her to use the coupons. She said she had to check with the manager to see if it was OK??? It said on the coupon for this purchase and I wasn't using any other coupons for that item. Manager did accept them but he looked at them like he never saw one before.

My post above was in reference to messages I've read on the CVS and Walgreens boards describing problems AFCers have encountered when using coupons. Re: peelies...LOL, I've actually had to ask a Rite Aid cashier NOT to remove a peelie on one of my items because I had a better coupon that I'd cut from a magazine. (he was being too helpful, Lol). I also think that a lot of cashiers tend to be really young and maybe their parents aren't coupon users, so they really have little to no experience using coupons. And of course, sometimes you do come across teenagers who really don't want to deal with the "extra work" that coupon redemptions add to their jobs. But this hasn't ever happened to me at Rite Aid, only at grocery stores. Last edited by Ibis; 11-06-2008 at 08:23 AM. |

Thank you for this post... I keep hearing about all the deals people are able to find at drug stores, but I knew the nearest CVS and Walgreens was too far (for my liking). It wasn't until yesterday that I realized there's a Rite Aid in one of the shopping centers I do my grocery shopping (we just moved to the area, plus, pregnancy really has swallowed my brain). So, this may work out very nicely for me. Thanks! |

Rite Aid also offers rain checks. If the store is out you can get a rain check for when it is back in stock and you will still be credited your FAR as long as you make the purchase within thirty days of the raincheck. If I was able to help in any way please thank me over there======> |

The problem I have with Rite Aid is that they are always out of the Free items. I used to do Rite Aid all the time, they were the first ones with the online submission and it was the easiest, but I would have to go to so many different stores on so many different days to get the handful of items that were free every week. When gas prices started going up and I had a baby it just wasn't worth the gas money and the hassle of dragging the baby in and out of all the stores to get a few things for free. I wish they would stock up on the free items each week!
