| Which drugstore is the best?
Where I live we have multiple CVSs, Walgreens and Rite Aids. As a WOHM to two young children I just don't have the time to hit all three once or more during the week. Which one offers the best deals typically? TIA.

I vote CVS...I love my ECB deals..and have had nothing but problems at the Walgreens by me, Haven't shopped there since the fantastic diaper deal.... But I am sure there are tons of people who prefer Walgreens..it just left a bad impression with me.. |

i vote cvs. i tried walgreens a couple times, and each time i go...they never have anything in stock, at either of the two stores. so i don't even bother anymore, even if it's a great deal..because i know it wont be there. - it was all so confusing too. can't use rr's on the same deal, have multiple places to look for a coupon, ect never tried riteaid.

CVS all the way! I love their ECB program Walgreens is more work IMO as they have too many programs - easy save coupons, ad coupons. rebates, register rewards, etc |

I like CVS the most too but go to WG pretty frequently too. I don't go to Rite Aid as much, but have gotten great deals in the past. I think it varies from week to week so just look at what is on sale that week and pick one to vist.

I also have to say CVS. They're easy to deal with, and they offer consistently great deals on things I need. My only complaint is that their shopping carts are too small to fit both of my twins in their car seats! |

I vote CVS, too. WAGs has too many steps, I'm doing it but prefer CVS, has better stock and they are coupon friendly. I get the same cashier at wags a lot and she changes the rules every time I'm there. Rite Aid, I'm not doing as well, but I still go. These are all close to each other and it's easy to just run in.

I like Rite Aid because the SCR's are checks you can cash. Unlike RRs and ECBs, you can use your cash anywhere, anytime. Plus, I don't have to worry about splitting up my orders as much, and I don't have to worry that my loyalty incentives will expire before I get a chance to use them on something I want or need. Rite Aid has TONS of FAR items, and I use coupons on a lot of them (double-dipping). I like not having to mail anything in to get the rebates, but if there's also a mail-in rebate, I can take advantage of that because I still have my receipt, and make even more money on an item (triple-dipping). I've also found Rite-Aid Qs online, in SELF magazine, and in the free health or beauty pamphlets and/or magazines distributed by Rite-Aid in their stores. You can combine manfuct. Qs with Rite-Aid Qs that have a barcode number that begins with RC. HTH |

The great thing about AFC is you don't have to pick just one! Since you have access to the forums for all the drug stores you can see who has the best deal each week.

I like CVS. I'm all about instant gratification! Rite Aid is a close second because like someone said their rebates are like cash but I have to run too far for Rite Aid and I've found their limits to be pretty low and our Rite Aid store is just not as nice as CVS. I love it that you can get your ECB and use them right away at CVS.

CVS is my fave! The cashiers and managers are always friendly and helpful. Just tonight I told the cashier where to get the Arm & Hammer coupons after he said what a great deal it was! ![]() Walgreens is a no-go for me. Too many issues with trying to use RRs, let alone trying to "roll RRs" ![]() No Rite Aids around here, but it sounds great! |

CVS and Rite Aid. For lots of reasons, I just don't go to Walgreens.

CVS is the best. It is overpriced most of the time, but if I watch the ads and get my coupons together, then I can save a ton! We don't have Rite Aid here, so I don't know about them. Walgreens isn't worth it for me, though they are opening a new one down the street, and if there are any special coupons for the grand opening, I might have to stop by

My Vote goes to CVS - My walgreens (and I have 4) gives me a hard time every time I use coupons. The register rewards almost never print and it has become such a hassle that it is not worth it. I may go in once a month when the coupon comes out (last day of the month) and buy the far items only. |

Ya know, when I first read this thread I'm not sure there is a "BEST" of them all. I used to only do CVS all the time but have now found that I like Walgreens too. When CVS might have a down week, WAGs doesn't so I can go over there instead... or they might have the same stuff... or they might have lots and lots of different things. So I'm a fence rider. I like both CVS and WAGs but for different reasons. CVS is challenging, lots of transactions, easy to use ECB's, friendly staff and my store is always well stocked. WAGs is challenging too, RR's are not as easy to roll but I'm getting it figured out, there's a Rebate program to stack on top of everything which is cool and once again my stores are friendly and well stocked usually.Soooo... pick one, learn it well and move on to the next one.

I'm a Rite Aid shopper because it is what we have here and I do love their SCR program. Clean and simple, cash back. No rolling, no expirations, etc. On business trips, I hit up Wags and CVS for deals and sorry to say, I do not like CVS at all. Just my personal opinion.

I like CVS, but we only have 3 of them in town (and the closest is about a 10 minute drive). I would probably shop there more if we had more of them. We have Walgreens EVERYWHERE around here... 22 within about 15 minutes of my house. So I usually end up at Wags more than CVS, even though I think I prefer CVS. Rite Aid is ok too, and I have one of those about 2 minutes from my house. The only problem is that I don't like having to wait for the rebates. I like the ECB and RR because I get the money right away. |

Isnt' it amazing how we all feel so differently. I was in a Wags today while on a biz trip and the buys were awesome! There was nothing in the CVS ad that even made me want to stop in!

I used to be a Walgreen's only gal, and I also live in an area that has Cvs's , Walgreen's and Rite aids. When I started reading posts about extra bucks, I became curious and went to CVS, and that began my love affair. I will only go to Walgreen's if they have a really good deal on something. I discovered that my Walgreens will not give Register Rewards if you use coupons. Today I went to CVS bought $19 worth of things, used extra bucks, and coupons and spent $4. and I got $5 back in Extra bucks. I have gone to Rite aid once in a while, again for very good deals. Also I live near a K-mart and with their double coupon deal ( up to $2) I have enough health and beauty aids to last for a while. Cheryl
