I love Walgreens but live near CVS. I love WAGs and I think that the deals are easier.

I've been hard core Walgreening here the last few weeks racking up RRs for the diaper sale and have truly enjoyed leaving with tons of diapers and other stuff free! However, I encountered many hassles along the way and hugely inconsistent policies. I dropped into a CVS last week to get some hair thingys...while there bought 2 meters, got $10 ECBs, bought razor blades and hair things, used ECB, paid 80 cents OOP and left! Easy peasy. I think after I finish spending these RRs, I'm going to put the same effort into CVS and see what happens.

I have no point of comparison since I have just one ~ WAG and I can honestly say they are the best in terms of management from the DM down to the store clerks. I have visited WAG in other states up in the East Coast, West Coast and in adjacent states, they all pale in comparison with the 5 WAG we have. I give credit to the DM covering our area.

I live in an area that has all three. But it is truly store location specific for me. Wags is my favorite. They give RR after coupons and we don't have the constant printing issues a lot of others do. We are also consistently stocked. But I have to admit there is one Wags I just don't go to often - I call them EVIL wags. CVS is where I pick up RXs for my dogs. So I started using their program, too. They have pretty much the same stuff on sale as Wags just different weeks. But i like the flexibility of the EB programs and that I have 4 weeks to use them. And I can pick up adult beverages there. The EBs are tied to my card so i don't have to keep track of them as closely. But again, the attitude of the cashiers is store specific. One is great and one is a pain in the rear. I think because it is by a college and has lots of turn over. Rite Aid ---YUCK YUCK YUCK. I think it is the one I have here. It just isn't well cared. Staff is lackadasical. I just don't like going there so I haven't bothered with the programs. Bottom line - you'll have to try them out and see what works for you. The forums are great places to see the deals. |

i also use to be a wags girl. i still am due to we only have 1 cvs that is still about 15-20 mins away. whereas we have 5wags in a 7 mile radius. but i just started at CVS and i love the fact that you can do more than 1 ecb transaction. with wags i have to go to all of them about 4 times in a week to get what i want. now w/ rite aid i havent been there in so long. but they are cool too. i love that you get a check to put in the bank.

I Love CVS,but to be honest I have not really tried out Walgreens yet. I went once and got back some RR,but I am too in love with CVS now when all my CVS hype dies down I am sure I will check out Walgreens.

A couple of months ago, I was a Walgreens girl. I love that they don't enforce limits. But like others, I have grown tired of their policies that vary store to store. I'm tired of fillers and hoping that my RR will print and then dreading having to deal with management when it doesn't. I stepped into CVS a couple of weeks ago for the first time in months and I was just looking for dish soap. I walked by the sunglasses and saw the infamous .99 wipes and made 8.00 profit (in ECBs). I've been rolling them since then and each transaction has been so easy. The cashiers seem to know how ecb's work, unlike most Walgreens cashiers when it comes to RRs. I dislike the small limits that CVS imposes on their deals but I love the fact that checking out has yet to be a hassle. I think that Walgreens usually has better clearances and more clearances than CVS does. Oh and I really wish that Walgreens had price scanners like CVS does!
