I like CVS and getting the CVS ecb immediately. The whole WAGS rebate can be confusing & a hassle. I too have had a time finding products in stock @ WAGS which is never seems to be a problem at CVS. Last month I did my first WAGS rebate on their web site and received a letter saying "you are not eligible"...I called and the rep said "oh, that was an error you are eligible - you'll get it in the mail..." I'm still waiting on it.

I also ride the fence.... I LOVE CVS for the instant bucks back, but I also love the fact that I can get cash money in hand for buying stuff from RA and I got it started by using gc from rx that I was buying anyways, so free all the way around. I'm eagerly awaiting our wags to open up. So the verdicts still out for that store. |

I vote for CVS. I had to constantly fight with the Pharmacist at Walgreen's over my insulin prescription so I switched to CVS and no more fighting. I don't shop there that often for stuff other than scripts but like last week I got the 4 for 12 coke and used the ECB to get Diasani (sp) water for 88 cents. So it does add up to use the ECB's. Also it is easier to get a parking space at the closest CVS where the Walgreen's is in a shopping center with a grocery store and you can NEVER get a good parking space.

I like CVS too. Initially I used to shop at RA but The RA is old and too brightly lit. I used to go to Walgreens but never tried their RR prog. Overall.. I'm impressed by CVS cos they are all new and clean. CVS has a little more flexibility in the use of the ECBs as compared to Walgreens i think. But Walgreens seem to carry more things. I hope CVS will carry a greater range of products... like more household...

I haven't tried CVS yet but after all these testimonials to how great it is, I may try to learn more about it. I used to do the WAGs rebate program some years ago and just started doing it again yesterday. I purchased lip gloss, hair conditioner and foundation yesterday - the total with tax came to $25.83. All three items I purchased were, however, free after rebate. And, because I chose to have the rebate added back to my WAGs gift card, I receive a 10% bonus. The total before tax was $23.97 + the 10% bonus = $26.37 back on my gift card (54 cent profit!). I just got paid for buying things at WAGs! Weeee!! I'm new to all this couponing stuff (as of this week) so I'm probably a little over-excited about the 54 cent profit! Next month, I plan to just use the WAGs gift card to buy any free after rebate products I like and keep using that same money over and over!

I used to do CVS, but I find that I'm not always stressing about the deals, by avoiding CVS. I go to Walgreens. I'm not a hard core couponer anymore. I have a lot of things stockpiled, plus now I live in an apartment, so space is limited. I try to limit myself on clearance buys too.

I LOVE CVS and only go to Walgreens if it's a great deal. I love the ECB''s. I think CVS has better deals.

Go where the great sales are...like this week, CVS is so-so, but the WAGS RR deals are rocking! I love the CVS system of doing things though...I absolutely hate finding fillers for RR deals (love the RR itself though especially if it's a MM.) No Rite-aid here so can't tell you what I think of them.

I learned CVS first, Rite Aid second, and now i'm trying Walgreens - like many on AFC, I appear to have drug store ADD! If I had to cut back to just one of the three, I'd choose based on the staff -- you want coupon-friendly and knowledgeable. I have a favorite branch of each based on this, and only go to other branches for very simple transactions (e.g. rebate items, no coupon stacking, etc). So for me, it would be CVS. Plus, I find it the cheapest to get up an running because you don't have to lay out money for rebate items and wait a month to get it back (though if you don't mind that, I vote for Walgreens because of the 10% bonus on the gift card). Plus, the red pricecheck/card scanner is like getting a free pull at a slot-machine every time you go! |

I love CVS. I have gotten some good deals at Walgreens but the cashiers always seem worried like they are going to get in trouble with their managers if they let you roll RRs or take coupons or do the stuff that CVS cashiers never even bat an eye at. I am pretty much done with Walgreens unless there's an amazing deal or freebie.

CVS ... I haven't done Rite Aid and I do like Walgreens but it is much more complicated. CVS seems to have the most straightforward deals -- very helpful staff and there are 3 within a few miles from my house!

I love the ecb program at CVS and I tend to get more for my money, but sometimes the limit is only 1 and I'd love to get more of some things. I love Walgreens because you can keep rolling all week.
